Would you like to be a TV Salesperson and why?

It's a no for me, I'm sure they have a great salary but the pressure to sell is great and you must be good at exaggeration to sell a product. I would be worn out trying to keep talking to sell, sell, sell sell !! Hats off to TV sales people !

No, I could not in good faith sell some of the products that home shopping hosts sell. I need to believe in a product before I could sell it.

Definite NO!. It would be hard for me to be positive--and honest!!--about most of the overpriced items that are shown.

Nope because I can't stretch the truth (lie) like hosts have to. Every product isn't the best and use every one daily. That being said the pressure on today's hosts to sell seems to be incredible. Not for me.

I WOULD love to be a sports analyst/reporter, especially football and NBA. Olympics, too.

No. I'm too honest. This am I read a story that a mom & her daughter went to buy a wedding dress and when they went to pay, the credit card machine asked if you wanted to leave a 10%, 15%, 20%, or custom tip. Not in this lifetime.

Talking that much and hearing all the chatter around me would be exhausting and give me a headache. I'm not good at faking enthusiasm....and I think all of this is required to be a good salesperson.

Plus I'm too boring to watch. haha

No I could not, and that is from experience. I tried being a sales person part time in a dept store years ago through Christmas rush, and I was never so happy when the season ended. I made good money but dang its taxing and people are nasty.

I used to give seminars and am familiar with presenting, and think I could focus on the specifics .... sizes, fabric content percentages, etc etc. The information that viewers REALLY want to know.

Of course, the hosts are always being given information in their ear buds, and I bet those producers talking to the hosts can be a PITA.

Unless the $$$ was spectacular, I doubt I'd ever consider it.

@They CallMe MRWILKES - Wow, 40% is really good. I had no idea it was that high. Do all Q employees get that much or do the hosts get more than non-host positions?
