Mrs. Prindables Apples at Costco

Well it seems from reading a TSV thread about the apples that many, like me, do not appreciate the sprinkles and other candy toppings on the apples. I find them hard to eat and a tasteless waste of calories.

So I want to point out that Costco online has a few selections of Mrs. Prindables apple basket configurations. Some of the deals may not be as good as the TSV, but the apples included are a combination of caramel/chocolate and caramel/chocolate/walnut apples.

There is one gift set currently on sale with four apples, caramels, and white chocolate covered pretzels for $39.99. Free shipping.

I don't know if non Costco members are able to order.

I don't know how so many people, especially childred, stand to eat those sour Granny Smith apples with a sugary coating in the tsv. My mouth puckers just thinking about it. Maybe people don't pay attention to the apple type. I use them for cooking only...can't stand to eat them plain.

The red basket at Costco with the nut apples is nice. I don't think that I am buying any Mrs. Prindabales this year. My neighbor gives me an apple for Christmas, usually from the TSV.

@Kachina624 I'm with you on the Granny Smith apples. Every now and then Mrs. Prindable's will do a Pink Lady apple selection, then I buy. They are sweet and tasty!

I’m watching ITKWD and they cut into an apple and there it was; a big black thing. Rot maybe? I don’t know, but it was quickly shoved aside and they moved on. lol

I either want chocolate candy or an apple, not both. Not sure about the freshness of the apples. What if they are shipped in a hot truck in a warm region?

We are all different with our likes and dislikes. I love Granny Smith for eating! However don't care for candy coatings.

I 💗 Mrs. Prindable's apples. I've ordered them for YEARS and never received one bad apple. I've loved them all, gifted most and saved a few for my husband and me. We all have our own likes & dislikes and these fall into my likes column.

We love Mrs Prindable's. We gifted them last Christmas and everyone loved them.

I think Granny Smith is the perfect choice. It balances out the sweetness from the caramel, chocolate, etc.

We have never gotten a bad batch.

There's nothing like the first crunchy bite!🙂

Granny Smith are my favorite apples. I pair them with slices of Monterey Jack cheese. I love a tart apple. Occasionally I buy Pink Lady or Gala apples. By the way I am not a Costco member (the closest is a 3 hr drive); but I buy online all the time.

nope.....

when my kids were little we would share an apple after dinner.

everyone got two slices which was the perfect amount.

the tart granny smith with the perfect amount of chocolate and caramel were gobbled up and STILL gobbled up.....no dumping of the apples at all.

we still carry on the tradition.

mrs prindables are perfect for us!

The only apple id eat as a kid was granny smith. I despise a mushy red etc. As a grown up ive added Fuji or Honey Crisp.

@Malcontent - I watched that presentation and also just rewatched the video. The only thing I saw was at about the 2:07 mark.

When Laurie cut a second apple, some of the dark chocolate from the first one was on the knife and transferred to the new apple as she sliced it. You can see it very clearly, if you pause the video.

I didn't notice any rush to shove it aside. She moved it, but only to put it behind the slice she'd just cut.

I'm with you on the Granny Smith apples. They are too tart for me. My husband and I will often share a Wendy's Apple and Pecan salad. He doesn't mind the tart apples so I always give him the GS and I take the Red Delicious. For me, the sweeter the apple the better.

@Kachina624 ... l don't like a sour apple either. Several years ago they used to offer the smaller apple... The Pink Lady. Now that was a tasty apple! I don't buy anymore because l don't care for the sprinkles.

I like a tart apple too and only eat and bake apple pies with Granny

Smith or Jonathan apples.
