Question about shipping charges..

I purchased something 4 days ago with shipping charges of $3.50 (it shipped 2 days ago). Today its the same price but free shipping. Has anyone called CS and had the ship charges waived?

I haven't, but I don't believe free shipping is retroactive. If able, you'd have to cancel the original order and repurchase. If the item is already in the preparing your order phase, you're out of luck.

They won't refund shipping charges for orders placed that long ago.

plus I think it would be a nightmare for QVC...a lot of people would be calling to have price adjustments...

I am really tired of the pricing games. I always go back and check the current prices of items I have purchased in the last 30 days. Just yesterday I sent emails to the social team to get $10 and $8 refunds on two things that dropped in price. I appreciate that they do that for me. But at the same time, the pricing changes and free shipping or not free shipping, gets to be a bit of an annoyance. Frankly I wish they would offer their best price and free shipping on everything, then later clearance on what is left.

@MrsCat21. The free shipping is only for a specific time period. They will not waive charges for other time periods or previous purchases.

I remember some time ago getting a refund for Free Shipping for something that I bought the day before. Maybe that's over over with now. It was usually within 24 hours before Free Shipping.

I fail to see how these are pricing games. Brick and mortar stores will have a sale one week and normal prices return the next week. They usually give price adjustments when something has been purchased within 30 days before the sale, but the customer has to go to the store to ask for it and show receipts. How is QVC doing anything different?

Pricing games? I think people are j7st naive about the ins and outs of retail merchandising. Amazon prices change constantly, sometimes daily.

QVC price, Today’s Special Value, Big Deal, One Time Only, Sale, Clearance, Clearance Sale, Lunchtime Special, Primetime Special, Buy one get one $3 off. I am sure I am missing a few. I am well aware of how retail works. QVC’s method to their madness seems like a big game to me. How best do we get people to part with their money? All retailers do it. But they have so many price points and terms that it is insanity. I guess it is working for them. Who is behind all these decisions? How do they decide which item gets which price point? Things we will never know.
