@ThinkingOutLoud I also use Echo (Dot). There are many free "Ambient Noise" selections, and it shows the time and can give you alarms and answer your questions. My GD does not have an Echo, so she has a Big Red Rooster white noise machine from Amazon. about $25.00. It is very reliable, but there are limited selections.

My daughter uses the Magicteam sound machine. it is a small cubethat plugs in or you can run it on batteries. Right now it is on sale on Amazon for 21.00

A lady on Youtube recommended the DreamEgg Portable Sound Machine for children and adults.. It is also 21 dollars. She recommended for those with young children. However, the reviews on Amazon mention Adults having success with it as well...

That's the same one I use. It's very good. No looping is great. I've had a few that loop and I'd find myself listening for the brief pause when it loops. This one doesn't loop.

I cant sleep without it. I actually bought a back up just in case.

I use a small fan---one that has 2 settings--high and low--was cheap and stirs up the air in the room too.

I like the Yogasleep Dohm Classic, too. It is assembled in the USA. It has a real fan inside of it so it gives the fan sound, but without the blowing air (and there is no looping).

echo user here, too. i use thunderstorms by sleep jar and i have used a fan for years, but seems like, lately, i need more.

i see ads for "green noise" and am curious about that sound, too.

I use Echo and ask Alexa to open Sleep Jar. She then asks me what I want to hear...I like rain showers. It stays on all night until I ask Alexa to stop when I get up.

I use an app on my phone called White Noise, which has many different noises you can pick from. My favorite is Box Fan. And a real box fan works great too.
