Ghost Sightings -- Part 2

It is close to Halloween. A couple of years ago, I asked

if anyone had ever seen a ghost. I had received many interesting responses. I still have not seen a ghost, but that doesn't mean they are not there. So are there any more ghost sightings that anyone would like to share?

I ALMOST got to see TWO ghosts....

The couple that were friends of mine who came to my home and "saged" it.

They almost became ghosts when I found out what they did.

They don't know how close they came.

They burn bunches of dried sage (like the fresh herb you put on turkey...when it's fresh it smells wonderful....when it's dried and ignited inside your home and waved around trying to remove who knows what....,making a smoking stinking mess, it smells like burning dung.

There's another thread by me in Suggestion Box that explains what happens when someone burns handfuls of dead leaves around your clothes closets, upholstered furniture, carpets...

Read it and you'll understand.

Those two still don't know how lucky they were .

I did not see a ghost, but I believe my deceased mother was in contact with me.

When she passed away many years ago I received the phone call from my step-father telling me she had passed away at 6:10 p.m. For the following two years after her death, exactly at 6:10 p.m. my phone rang, the called I.D. showed "unknown caller" and when I answered the phone no one was there. I really believe that was my mom trying to be in touch with me.

I should have thunk it..but I was young too...

They explained what they were going to do and I really didn't think too much about it...it sounded dreamy-stupid but they were friends and I didn't think they'd end up stinking up my place like that....

On top of that, I worried for a month afterward that I'd get drug tested...I worked a safety sensitive job with random drug testing and it took FOREVER to get that stench out of my clothes....smelled kinda like...well, you know.

It's burns "oily" too.

I think if people want to do it, go ahead. But you've been warned.

It's burning and letting it smoke up the place with a handful of dead sage sprigs...that are allowed to smoke more than burn.

You been warned!!!

For goodness sake stay OUT of your closets. Open the windows.

Better yet.... douse the bunch of burning vegetation BEFORE it starts to smoke!!!!

I'll just say I think the whole ghost thing is pure nonsense. Two people have died in my house and you can be assured there are no ghosts here.

Not a sighting, and I'm not a believer in ghosts even though I enjoy watching ghost stories on TV, but after my Dad died, when I met my sister at the house before the funeral, the electronic picture frame I had given him for Christmas was on. I remember turning it off before leaving the house to drive 2 hours away to the VA hospital they had moved him to. And then the next time I went to the house, 3 pennies were on the floor in front of the chair I always sat in when I was there. I call them pennies from heaven.

Now, lately, I've been randomly smelling different perfume scents. i haven't worn perfume in years. Makes me wonder if I'm being visited.

I have never seen a ghost, nor do I believe in them, except for The Holy Ghost, that is. But I realize some people do believe and/or have seen them. It is interesting to read their accounts here.

@GingerHead and @Othereeeen I have saged my home several times at the change of seasons and it has never smelled bad at all. The bundle of dried sage gives off a small, mild smoke and soft odor. It hasn't penetrated my fabrics at all and I waft the smoke in all corners of a room. That's been my experience with saging.

@Othereeeen I routinely use febreeze. I have nothing against febreeze, Saging is a spiritual thing and very different. I buy bundled sage for this purpose. I move from room to room and the smoke doesn't build up in any room. I don't know what was burned in your house, but it doesn't sound like they used bundled and dried sage made for saging a home. Maybe they were concentrating the smoke for some reason that I don't do.

Sage can be overdone. There's a spray that is sage scented. Maybe that would be more acceptable.

I've seen things. Not surprising as my ancestry is Native America. My mother visited one evening and called out my name and told me she was sorry for all the wrongs she imposed on me.

An elder mother would call me for about 2 years after she passed and leave a message on my answering machine.

There have been other 'experiences' as well.
