Disappointed in shipping

I do not understand why qvc shipping has gotten longer and longer. My latest

order is due to arrive in 10 days. Much longer than any other online company. Of course if I inquire, I get the excuse it's someone else's fault such as the carrier or the

vendor.

I receive my orders in a timely manner. I usually get my orders within four to five days or so. I also live in the Northeastern area, so I'm sure that makes a big difference.

@rvmom, would you mind telling what item you're waiting for? Or the vendor ? I think when people talk about the shipping it might help others thinking about the purchase to also know the expected delivery.

One order that contained barefoot dreams item and a Bose item.
I also live in the northeast and have received items from California

from vendors that took 5 days. I feel this is a qvc issue.

@ You conveniently don't mention when you placed the order and when it shipped. We can't discuss shipping with you until you give complete information, but your problem sounds like a transport, not a shipping problem.

All my many orders in the past 8 month have shipped in 3 days or less which is better than other online retailers with whom I've done business. Frankly, I'm quite pleased with QVC's shipping.

Maybe you have unreasonable expectations?

@rvmom For me, I know that my QVC orders take a few days longer than Amazon's, for example, but therre's no comparison of the 2 companies. QVC is a products only company. Amazon is really a tech company according to the financial analysts -- and Amazon is more than ten times bigger than QVC.

When I place an order, before I accept it, I know ther final cost and the estimated delivery date. If I don't like either, I don't order. I am on the East Coast, but whether I've been north or south in the last 5 or more years, only one order out of all my orders arrived late - one day late! The whole middle of the US was snowed in when that happened.

No, I did not conveniently leave out anything. All I said was my expected arrival

was 10 days from ordering date and feel that is entirely to long. Just like you, I am intitled to my opinion.

I have the same problem. Not with everything but some things. I ordered the Cheerful giver candles that were a big deal on Oct.07 they still have not shipped out yet, the EDD was the 14th. I did write to the Social Team and today I got a phone call saying they would ship out on the 17th.

Some things from QVC take longer if they're coming from a vendor, which may be the case with Bose.

I haven't had any QVC issues, but my orders from Anthropologie, Talbots and J Jill have been taking at least 10 days to get to me and without free shipping.

I also purchased two things during Amazon Prime days and they're not here yet even though I've ordered and received several other items from them already.

Events like QVC free shipping weekend and Amazon Prime days usually add time to the order time due to the volume of orders placed.

What's irritating is continually hearing "You will receive this item by This date" - how can QVC see into the future!? I've been hearing this for several years... yet know that planes go down, motor vehicles break down, weather disasters strike... and the like.

Here's what's bad about the system: breaking down a QVC order consisting of 3 items, then trying to figure out which one item is on the way with an order number that the consumer was not given! I understand an order of 3 items may come from 3 different vendors; if that's the case QVC should Immediately break the One order into three / Two additional orders with their respective numbers And tell the consumer. It was tremendously aggravating placing an order for 3 items under one order number, receceiving an email that an order number that I'd never known of attached to the product; But having to go back & forth in my QVC account trying to figure out 1) which item was shipped & when it was shippped; 2) juggle this with a local move from one side of town to the other; then 3) get 2 emails: first for one item as that it has shipped... 2 more emails for the same item that it will delivered soon... 2 More Emails that the item will be delivered on a particular day! And that' for two of the three items I ordered; Then 4)... No More Emails at all about the 3rd/last item! So this is a combination of ordering, shipping and email/communication issues that abound.

It's consistently hit & miss with QVC & shipping, I would excuse that if shipping was always free. Of course, they can learn a lot from Amazon & other retailers. As long as customers tolerate the slow shipping, etc by not shopping elsewhere, I doubt it will change.

It's been my experience within the last year that tsv items ship & are delivered in a very timely manner.

I placed a couple of orders in the last few months, and they all came within a week.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with receiving an item in 10 days? Why do we have such unrealistic shipping expectations?

Well I received my Lands end order today. Day 19. I'm just glad it arrived. I have a Q order that is awaiting pick up from 10/11. Q said it shipped 10/11 waiting 5 days says awaiting pick up. Not sure if that tracking is correct or not. Mail innovations. We shall see. Sometimes it says that and it's delivered in a day or so.

I didn't mind waiting for 10 days or what ever. But it had not even shipped out yet when I ordered it on the 7th. Everything else I had ordered had shipped out.

I think the order got over looked. I wrote because they were a Big Deal and I was worried the scent I ordered would be gone.

My last item shipped on the 7th Oct and the delivery date said the 19th. I knew that was impossible and I was was right. It arrived on the 13th.

My QVC orders have shipped and have been received in about a week. Recently they've been items shipped from QVC and not a vendor.

Past weeks I've had delays longer than usual from Land's End, Bath & Body Works, and Kohl's. I've had Amazon Prime orders switch delivery dates to days later the moment I purchase.

I don't know why some customer's orders are delayed. It probably is dependent on what items are purchased.
