A funny thing happened today at Costco

Hello Friends! Hope all is well. A funny thing happened today at Costco. I was pushing my cart across the parking lot with my purchases. A big wind gust came by and blew my eyedrops out of my cart. (The box of drops are mounted to a piece of cardboard) A young man was collecting carts in the parking lot chased my purchase. Well, it blew by a lady that was walking by she picked it up and I thought Nice lady! Well, I was wrong she jumped in her car and drove off with my Eyedrops!! The young man and I were both astonished by her behavior! He asked me if i was going to tell the store manager and I told him no. It wasn't their fault. He asked me to tell them anyway and walked with me back into the store. We told the lady at the desk what happened, she asked if I still had my receipt, I did , and they sent the young man back to replace what the lady in to car took.

WOW! talk about good customer service. This time I held on to my drops!

@Franklinbell Great customer service. Shame on the thief. Hope her theft comes back to bite her or maybe they will badly affect her eyes. Oh boo hoo. I'm guessing she doesn't even need them, just a crime of opportunity.

What the heck? What is wrong with people?

That lady is a thief and a low life.

Once while in line at the grocery store, a young lady in the line beside the one I was in, dropped a $20 getting something out of her pocket. The man behind me lunged for it.

I put my foot on it before he could grab it and he began cussing at me. He said he saw it first and he wanted it.

I picked it up and handed to the young lady who dropped it and the guy was really ticked off.

Some people have a sense of entitlement that is crazy.

I am happy that COSTCO made you whole. Too bad some of their patron's are not honest and decent.

@Franklinbell That lady was awful to take your eyedrops and I'm glad that the worker helped you report the theft and get a replacement for the eyedrops. I hope that eyedrop theif's eyes become itchy and irritated during the best scenes of movies and tv shows for the rest of her life!

While I'm impressed that some of you shop at Costco in Mayville with June, Ward, Wally and The Beav...

I'm surprised the person with your eyedrops didn't use it as a reason to approach you and steal your purse, keys and worse.

I would have left asap and gone in another direction.

I've always loved Costco's customer service. I'm not surprised they replaced your eye drops.

A couple of years ago DH & I where pushing our full cart through the Costco parking lot. The cart hit a bump & a pack of 3 salad dressings in glass bottles hit the ground & shattered. There was glass all over the place. The bottles where in an open type of 4 sided box .

I picked up the box,DH stayed behind so no one would get hurt, & went back into Costco. I showed the lady in CS the box & explained what happened.I asked her to please have someone with a broom clean up the broken glass to avoid injuries & cut tires. She immediately sent someone out to take care of it. I apologized & thanked her.

As I turned to leave she said ma'am come back. She had someone get me a replacement for the salad dressing!! I was surprised. She handed it to me & said "Have a nice day".

Partly my fault as i always take my rings off and if I don't have pockets to put them in, I lay them on the counter while washing my hands. On that day I forgot to put them back on and walked out of the restroom

It is located near the entrance to the store and as I was walking into the shopping area I noticed I didn't have my rings on. I immediately turned around and when back to the restroom and of course my rings were gone. I was gone no more than a minute or less.

As I was walking out of the restroom a woman was coming into the store and entered the restroom. In the minute or less I was gone she scooped up my rings and I saw her leave the store as I was on my way back to the restroom.

I feel sure she knew they were mine as she saw me walk out of the restroom and turn around to come back, but still she took off.

I know she took my rings as I was the only one in the restroom and she left the store without taking the time to use the restroom or enter the shopping area. Instead she immediately left the store and drove off.

I did report it just in case they turned up in Lost N Found but I know where they really went. At least they won't fit her as I only wear a 5 or 6 and she was an at least an 8/9. But one was my favorite amyestist in a unique style. Don't remember the other one but I still miss that special amyestist.

@KathyM23 I am speechless hearing what happened to you and your jewelry...

I love our Costco. It's a wonderful store with very nice people working there. Always a nice experience. Can't say the same for some of the customers, especially in the parking lot.

That's a scary story. With the way things are today, I'm just happy that he didn't pull out a gun and start shooting. So many angry, dangerous people out there and this guy apparently was one of them.

@KathyM23 I'm so sorry that that terrible thief took your rings- could you file a police report with costco and have them pull her up on the security cameras? I hope that karma comes back to that woman full force. I've never had jewelry stolen, but I remember in school I had a favorite hello kitty pen and a classmate borrowed it and when I asked for it back later in the day, he told me he threw it away and then wouldn't tell me which trash can he threw it in and laughed in my face. Some people honestly are evil.
