Blowout clearance price that wasn’t?

I purchased a pair of Bob's joggers on clearance but there was not the red writing that informs "Purchase may not be returned or exchanged".

I'm pretty sure (not 100% sure) that I looked for it but didn't see it so I went on ahead and purchased.

Called c/s just a moment ago and the person checked to be sure...she told me that this item had been blowout price since July?

So I cannot exchange them...

anybody else had this happen?

All blowout clearance is not returnable, whether they have that written on the description or not. I agree they should have that for folks not familiar with QVC though.

@LTT1 - There was a discussion about this not too long ago, with someone making the same complaint.

I did have one item recently, that I know wasn't listed in the "Blowout Clearance" section, arrive with an invoice that stated it couldn't be returned or exchanged. Luckily, it was something that I planned to keep anyway (a Charles Gallen table runner).

However, that item still didn't show as "Blowout", when I checked on it later. So I now take a screen shot of anything that is listed as clearance, to keep as proof against it happening again. I did think there was some kind of glitch in the Q's system (no big surprise there).

I've also seen the same item bounce between "Blowout", "Clearance" and "Sale Clearance". Who knows what's going on with QVC lately?

What is the item number of the joggers you ordered, if you don't mind sharing? (I only see 3 pairs of BOBS Joggers and all are "Blowout".)

They should make it larger and host should make it clear, also.

I will "never" buy another blowout item. Bought a Dennis Basso coat I've never worn. Bought a pair of shoes, bore no resemblance to tv. I can't remember the third item, but I know I never wore it.

Be very sure. Something you're familiar with and worn before. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Are the blowout clearance on TV? I have always just searched for them, I have never seen them presented once blowout clearance?

I've never seen "Blowout Clearance" items on air, but maybe I've just missed it?

I've always just found them under the online clearance category.

@qvcfreak - Just be sure, if you order something listed as Blowout Clearance that you're familiar with the brand (sizing, etc.).

As stated, the items are not returnable for any reason other than defective, damaged or sent wrong item. In which case, you have to contact CS first.

I only order clothing or shoe brands I know for that reason.

(And just as I do with "As Is", I check the original item number to see if it's on regular clearance for less. You wouldn't believe how many times I've found that to be the case.)

Hi and thank you for reading/replying!

The number of the item is A464188.

Of course, I received/tried on the joggers yesterday and decided I needed the XL (in the derrière!) So, I went back to the listing on the site and there it was...in red lettering!

I'm a frequent shopper and don't THINK I would have missed this? But I don't have proof

and your suggestion makes a lot of sense...to take a screen shot!

I bought two pie plates on blowout clearance to give as gifts... I had no problem overlooking the fine print here. I'm familiar these days with the fact that many items like this are non-returnable... and if/when they are it often stops me from buying.

I clicked on START RETURN and got this message:

I might try pleading my case with c/s again later today or Monday. After all, I'm a good customer, know what I saw, and there are more in stock.❤️

Yes, I do kind of remember (vaguely) the words "Blowout clearance" off to the side of the pictures for this item.

I have what some might consider a "photographic memory" for images, especially print. I'm a visual learner. [prefer to call mine a "photogenic memory! LOL]

So the words in black print may have been there, I was just unaware of the policy that goes with this.

Question - I just returned the TSV 14k earrings because one arrived bent. I didn't call customer service to let them know. Am I suppose to inform them?

@qvcfreak - You don't have to notify CS, if you're returning any item, but it certainly makes things easier. You can do this after you've sent your package back.

All you need to do is send an email to QVCEasy Returns with the information.

Step-by-step guide for Easy Returns:

Include in your email: The order number(s), item number(s), item description(s), price (each), and the quantity you are returning. Sorry I dont remember what host or show it was (for sure it was a clothing show) but they had a blow out clearance item on the the host definitely said the item could not be returned.

For what its worth, I double check before ordering sale or clearance things, not just here on the Q but other sites too.

@qvcfreak - Just one other note. I just used this system to start an exchange, even though it says "Returns".

I filled in the same information but put "Exchange" in the subject line and at the bottom to indicate what I wanted. I can see that they've already put the order for my exchange into process.

@LTT1 - I'd say your best option would be to email the Social Team and explain the issue. They may be able to help you out, as it says you can't do a return "online". But if they say the item can't be returned, it would seem you're stuck with them.

Perhaps, if more people point out that the Blowout policy isn't always clear, it may help to have it somehow made more obvious.

@Imaoldhippie - You know what? I don't watch much live QVC these days, but I have a vague memory of something I watched where the host said words to that effect.

That these items were very limited and they were clearing out old stock - so no returns or exchanges, unless defective. I can't remember who it was though, as I only saw a short clip of the show.
