Our family celebrates MOTHER'S DAY AND FATHER'S DAY FOR ALL, no special celebration or card for GRANDPARENT'S DAY. I think this day started in the late 70s or early 80s and its popularity has waned since then.

I'm a grandma, by the way! Actually a "Mimi".

My granddaughter wanted me to spend the day with her. So, I took her shopping. She's 16 and been so busy we haven't done that in awhile.
I bought her many things for dance classes and the gym, socks, etc. She always thanks me and sent a thank you text after she got home.

We both forgot it was grandparents day. I don't know if she knew. But we had fun together and spent time walking the dog, and looking at old photo albums,

It was a nice grandparents day!
