I find it interesting when they say that the prices are better at QVC for whatever they are selling. I do very well shopping by color and style elsewhere at much much lower prices.

I do wonder if a $59 top is better made than one I can get for $14,99,

Really, I've never seen anything else on this host. Nothing wrong with jeans, but shouldn't a professional TV host look professional and not like someone ready to wash the car or clean the cellar or garage. JMO.

It may depend upon what is being sold. A high-end jewelry show would call for more formal attire. A preesentation of a lawn mower or power washer would be better suited to jeans.

If they are selling hardlines, I wonder if it matters.

I don't like when hosts brag about how expensive their non-QVC clothing is.

I would like it if QVC added more professionalism in most areas. Not only in attire, but also poor grammer & bad habits on camera. At least it hasn't lowered to a level of nose picking, burping and farting. As someone else stated though, I think if someone is selling cleaning products & equipment they're best suited in clothes that looks like they're ready for work. Maybe a fart or two would actually help sell a powerwasher.

I turned on QVC and saw a host wearing what appeared to be "old" washed out jeans. The host she was appearing with was wearing either black jeans or pants and a nice top. What a difference. At least the host with the the old looking jeans had her hair washed, she usually looks like she hasn't bathed in days. No, they were not selling clothes.

It's all Marketing and they do their research meaning, nothing is left to chance.

If they were featuring elegant wear (which they don't) or an evening of fine jewelry (which I haven't seen in at least a decade), it would be more fitting to have on something OTHER than jeans and a sweater/sweatshirt. ShopHQ does that for their Waterford shows, Jewelry from Italy, etc. but QVC.....not so much now because everything is casual/rolled out of bed fashion.
