Ominous and beautiful...we have forecast for 40 to 50 mph winds tonight here in SE MD with rain. It's already starting to breeze up.

I'm in east central Pa. and was awakened around 3:30 a.m. with a big clap of thunder and a down pour that lasted about 2 minutes. Around 5, more thunder and heavy rain, but now just gloomy. More is on the way, though, guess.

@godi Beautiful picture. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing. Yes it was quite nasty. Rolling thunder and finally the downpour arrived. Glad we didn't the predicted winds, our home is surrounded by trees.

No rain since July 13th but we have a 30% chance of a pop up shower tomorrow afternoon, where I will be at the lake in a 104º at my granddaughter's birthday party. Not holding my breath on the rain but still praying for it. Happy to see others are safe and have the rain.

Sister in Lansing called and said they had major damage in their area during the night. BIL freaking out since no coffee and even Starbucks is closed! Thankful no one hurt.
