When You put on your shoes, which do you put on first?

I put on my left shoe first.

Same for trousers/pants.

Left first.

Absolutely always the left. I always put my left arm through my jacket first, too--just thought I'd mention it cause I knew you were wondering!

I think usually my right. Reason being that I have hips with OA and it hurts to bend down to put on shoes... my right hip is less painful so I usually do the right first and then go to the painful side next.

Weird, never ever thought about it. I'm right handed, when I put on shoes like cross-trainers or boots that require some work, I put on the left first. When I am stepping into shoes like slippers or heels, I do right first. When I put on pants, right leg first. Wonder why I do left first when I need to tie them or fuss with them to get them on. Puzzling...

Jules ... probably because you will reach with your right hand to fuss with them, so you want them on the opposite side.

I have to put my right pants leg on first because that leg is very weak from nerve damage so it has to be first. Shoes - I have no particular order.
