Jacqueline Bisset- what was wrong with her?

I haven't seen anyone post on this. I didn't see her speech live but I saw a clip......gosh what was wrong with her? I couldn't even understand what she meant in her speech, who was she talking to? People that were not nice to her?

She made no sense. It looks like she was caught off guard, but that was embarrassing.

I would go with the theory of too much champagne, and perhaps not expecting to win. Granted they did seat her in the nosebleed section, but I thought they might go to commercial break waiting for her to make it to the stage. Then she was silent or said "ummm" for 30 seconds... then when they started to play the music she finally got a wild hair and decided to ramble. She should have just said a gracious "thank you" and left. It did make for good entertainment though.

She wasn't expecting to win, and she appeared to be so overcome with emotion that she couldn't speak, and didn't want to start crying. Just my perception, though. I was moved by that, but then it became a little uncomfortable when she did start speaking. I think at that point she was just so overwhelmed, and couldn't think clearly after that. I feel bad that she may have thought she was forgotten about in Hollywood. I haven't seen the BBC series she is in, Dancing on the Edge, but I would like to check it out.

P.S. She looks fabu at almost 70. And she doesn't look like she's fooled around with her face. She was so gorgeous back in the day.

She waited much too long before speaking and was seated much too faraway. It was pitiful having to watch her take that long walk up to the stage only to blow her delivery which was supposed to be a gracious thank you....or so I thought. Also, she did not look good, hair a mess and makeup was muddy showing every line and wrinkle in her face.

Thanks.....the first clip I saw, I thought I must have missed something that happened or something she said! So I searched for another clip and nope the same thing, very confusing!

She's a woman after my own heart. Love her and I think she was shocked that she won. Her additional Sh)t comment only made her more real to me. Still beautiful after all these years and she will always be one of my favorite actresses......

I think she had too much to drink. I'm sure she didn't expect to win, and I guess the peoplle doing the seating chart didn't think she'd win either, but since she was a nominee, they should've seated her closer to the stage.

She wasn't slurring her words. I don't know or understand why people always want to think that if someone says something a bit out of the ordinary that they are immediately labeled as being drunk.....

All I can say is she was gorgeous back in her day, remember her in The Detective with Sinatra, in 1968.
