Why would Vionic sell a shoe that is not correctly sized?

I am in the process of returning an Earth shoe that is way too big for a size 9, and now I am watching a presentation and this TSV is missized. Fine for QVC to allow this type of sale but I have to pay for a return for the Earth shoe and now I am expected to trust Vionic when I am to go up a size, which might mean I will have another possible return. This is a ridiculous was to sell things. I haven't bought much from QVC lately and this will continue if the vendors can't figure out a way to sell a product that has been correctly made.

I never buy shoes from TV unless I already have similar shoes that are comfortable. $5.50 to get them and then how much to return?? I typically go right to the product's website which frequently has sales and free shipping.

BTW, I have never bought either of the brands mentioned.

@dmeasy @kaydee50 I believe that Vionics always have free shipping on QVC The problem is that if you return, you have to pay the return shipping, but they were shipped to you for free. The good thing is that if they aren't the right size, you can exchange for another size or color and not have to pay the return shipping or to have the replacements shipped.

I have LOTS of Vionic sandals (probably 20+ pairs), and find that in this style (with the fabric footbed, I have to go up a size from the style that is the rubber footbed.

If you have planter faciitus, these are a lifesaver! They are the best sandal I have found at any price and the $59 price isn't bad at all - they are $80 plus $8.50 to ship online at Dillards. Whenever they go on sale, the sizes are very limited.

This is precisely why I no longer buy shoes from QVC and this decision was made years ago! I wear an off the shelf size 9M, no foot issues and don't have problems finding shoes on sale in my size at any shoe store but when I started receiving items "too small", including too short or not wide enough or too wide even when labeled my size at 9M.... and paying to return them! I gave up no matter how tempted I felt. My list of "won;t buys" have expanded over the years for (more or less) the same reasons.

I'm still hanging in there and have been delighted to find that the quality of items have improved over the years. I'm still not trusting the shoes, but hopeflly one day that'll change for me. .

I've never worn this brand, but I've purchased many boots, sandals, shoes, etc. over the years at the Q. I'm a size 8 and have never had to return one pair. I always read the reviews. On one pair, there were many reviews that said the boots ran big. So I ordered a 7.5 they were perfect.

Vionic is not the quality nor is it made with the care it was originally. I can see that it's really gone downhill. I wouldn't be surprised if it is made by multiple manufacturers.

@dmeasy I agree. Vionic was always a great brand and I have had many pairs. The last few pairs were horrible. Arch supports all over the place and even slippers felt like walking on rocks.

Guess I won't be having my legs drawn with magic markers.😜

@dmeasy First do not trust what is said about sizing. Go to the Vionic website and get the real info.

As far as half sizes Vionic doesn't always make shoes in half sizes but neither do other vendors all the time.

Earth was bought out by Marc Fisher. I haven't bought from them since they had shut down before the new ownership started new production. It's another brand that went downhill.

Some vendors will have specials on their websites but Zappos always has free shipping both ways. You do have to sign up. They may not have all styles and colors but I usually have good luck with them. And of course they are also linked with Amazon if you have Prime - same shipping perks.

Zappos has free returns. Where the shoe is manufactured affects sizing.

I only buy shoes where I get free shipping and free online or in store returns. I can't see throwing away all that money if it doesn't fit. I find that even shoes within the same brand can fit differently.

I find myself astonished all the time by vendors. If it's your design and you hire a company to manufacture to your specifications, why in the world would you accept anything less than what is stipulated in the contract? Geesh!

There is ZERO chance that I would purchase the Vionic TSV knowing the sizing is "off". It makes we wonder what else they skimped on to save a dime in cost. No Thank You!

Vionic sandals have been a life saver for me also.
I had plantar fasciitis so bad for so long, at one point I had to use a cane sometimes. Then I was at a quality shoe store and a clerk recommended a specific pair of vionics that another customer said "cured" her fasciitis. I was beyond skeptical but was willing to try anything at that point. Had already tried other "good" expensive shoes which did not help at all.
I noticed these felt different from the moment I tried them on and it took a couple months, but my foot gradually felt totally better and now pretty much only wear this type of shoe.
This style only came in whole sizes so I HAD to choose between an 8 or a 9. I was told and have read, to go 1/2 size down. I did and they fit perfectly.

This is not missizing a shoe - other companies also have some shoes that only come in whole sizes and you have to either go up or go down and I'm glad they let you know which way.
