It's not funny

when you are giving a presentation and you time after time forget the colors, it's not funny. maybe once in a while it may be ok, but when you consistently make a joke out of the color names, it just means that you didn't do your homework and you were not prepared!

Nothing to fuss and post about considering all the clothing and items with all those often weird names for colors. There are some people who have a photographic memory and would do great remembering but it is easy to see why hosts often cannot remember all the colors of the many, many things they have to present. And often there are strange names for colors and it is funny! If there were regular red, blue, black, yellow,orange, purple names then it would be bad if a host forgets but the average person with an average memory and not a photographic one cannot be faulted for not memorizing all of them!!! Then consider all the things going on with ear buds in with someone speaking to them, checking the counter and paying attention to the vendor! It is not just a simple matter of standing there with nothing else to do!! Anyone who has ever made presentations with someone constantly in your ear - well humor goes a long way to help get through it!! Those few particular item are not the only ones they are presenting!!

Just another reason to eliminate the hosts and let the vendor who presumably knows her/his product do the presentation.

@fancy pantsy - Are you talking about specific hosts or all of them in general? I notice that Shawn is often confused with the color names.

They do this on Q2 at times and i find the presentation boring.without the intrraction between two people.

My pet peeve is the odd color names when trying to order...Just call the colors by an accurate, not a cutesy name like "Sky" . So, how deep or light blue is that "Ocean Tide", etc.

No wonder hosts have an issue with a rack of many hangers of colors.

@fancy pantsy If you're refering to this morning's D/C show, I certainly agree w/you. All the laughing and giggling was ridiculous.

This morning's D&C show was a trainwreck. Even Gary seemed to be annoyed and with good reason. Julia was totally unprepared. Even though she had color names written on her card, she still did not know what they were. One color was 'medium coral' and it was written on her card as 'med coral,' which is what she called it. Anybody with a 4th grade education knows that 'med' is the abbreviation for 'medium.' If memory serves me, I believe Gary corrected her and she was laughing hysterically. Not Funny At All. Her juvenial behavior was not only an insult to the viewers but to the brand. And, yet, they get rid of Carolyn and keep a bimbo like this individual.

Shawn is rarely prepared and relies on the product reps to impart information. That 'Shawn Saves Christmas' nonsense is an insult to viewer intelligent. Who needs to see her jumping around in skin tight pajamas claiming she is size XS? Seriously!!! She needs to go up to about a Medium. Last night (7/1) she had some woman on with her and the woman barely said a word. What her purpose was or who she is, I have no idea. Shawn monopolizes everything. She is loud, agressive, and pushy.

Why the powers that be don't rein these hosts in is beyond my imagination. When posters voice the same complaints about certain hosts, instead of realizing that so many people are complaining about the same thing, the posts are removed as 'unkind.' In my opinion, their conduct toward us is 'unkind' and results in lost sales. For example, whenever JT comes on, my TV goes off. Of course, the Q will not go bankrupt because I turn them off, but they need to look into why people are complaining.

I always thought the items were the focus of a "shopping" channel. Guess I'm wrong as usual-LOL!!

Other companies care what customers think. They send emails asking to rate their representatives. I got one from Target yesterday after a call to their customer service.

It seems the Q has an unrealistic desire to attract younger buyers and the new hosts reflect that.

I found a solution to the Sunday morning "Julia" problem. I was awake when D&C came on at 5am (MT) this morning. I turned on the TV, saw Julia, turned the TV off and went back to sleep. I will not watch her.

I couldn't believe how unprepared Julia was with Gary this morning. She has to interject what ice cream she likes, or about something in her life. OMG - it's NOT about them! It's about the item. Poor Gary! I can't imagine why she was chosen to be a show host. SMH!

After reading the OP post I had an idea who it may be so looked at videos of this AM's D&C show. Haven't watched a D&C show recently, Gary seemed so different, very quiet. It's his job to work with whomever he is placed however it did tug a bit in feeling somewhat sorry for him.

I did catch the beginning on the show and saw that fiasco with the colors, she didn't know how to say a color. He told her it was too early for this. I have said it before and I will say it again, they should put the names of the colors on the product instead of the cards or even both. The hosts seem to have issues with the cards.
