Since David is on a low carb diet I have noticed a lot of items that are low carb, but if you look at the nutritional information they are very high in fat and sodium Low carb does not necessarily mean healthy. QVC seems to be forgetting about heart disease.

I have been buying from QVC since 1995 I used to watch ITKWD whenever it was on, don't watch as much anymore tired of hearing low carb. I am glad low carb is working for him. Don't see a low carb diet as a life style diet. Good Luck to everyone on a low carb diet.

Have a great day

Nancy in NJ

When I want to lose belly fat nothing works better for me than low carb. But any processed food is not low carb, I don't care what the box says. If someone were following keto, which is really, really hard, it would be a macro of extremely low carbs, fat, and protein. I tried keto but it is impossible for me. But if I keep my carbs below 50 a day and eat real food that I prepare myself, I will lose weight. And no sweets.

I dont watch FOOD programs but anytime I pause and watch a few minutes the products are high calorie, fat ,sodium and carbs. And processed. Like the diet of most Americans. I don't eat like that.

If you follow a KETO diet, low carb, the diet is high in fats and low in carbs. That is how the diet works.

There are many low carb foods out there that are just food. They are now telling people they are low carb...well, they always were.

Meats, seafood, natural dairy products like butter, heavy cream, cheese, eggs, oils, greens and non starchy veggies and berries all are zero or low carb.

Those steaks QVC sells never had carbs, but now David is mentioning it. It's just another gimmick to sell steaks.

QVC is not in the business to sell only healthy foods. They, as well as other companies that sell food are not going to monitor what you eat.

How and what you eat is up to you.

Seriously? You think everyone doesn't already know that? They aren't making any health claims and people choose their foods based on different needs. I live a low carb lifestyle, I have for many years. I don't pay much attention to fat content in my low carb foods because I don't eat red meat, fried foods etc and my cholesterol has always been in the normal range. Having said that, I don't buy a lot of low carb products because they usually don't taste good.

@NancyB-NJ

I'm with you. I have fluctuated my weight up to 40lbs for many decades, to fit my specific athletic choices. I have never used a low carb eating program to lose, or maintain a specific weight.

In Endurance athletic activities, it requires more complex carbohydrates, not less. These types of activities and training themselves pretty much control adding weight(fat tissue).

Look at any Endurance event and you will see mostly participants that the average weight viewer will think, "they are so skinny". I don't advocate for, or against, any specific type of eating program. However, if I believe it to be a possible danger for those with certain underlying comorbidities, I might say something.

I avoid the word diet unless I am using it as a quote. Too many use that word's definition to mean weight loss or losing weight, I do not. So I mostly avoid using it.

If a person's food and liquid consumption meet their specific health and physical fitness needs! Who am I to say, "no, here is the right way"?

I too get a little annoyed with all the talk on TV and media articles praising eating low carbs to meet your XYZ goals. Many cannot distinguish a good carb from a non nutritional carb. This post is long enough even for me to read.

hckynut(john)🥅🏒 🇺🇸
