PEOPLE: Barbara Corcoran, 74, Recreates Martha Stewart's 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit' Moment in White Bathing Suit

“You’ve seen Martha Stewart…but have you seen me,” the Shark Tank business expert wrote on Instagram..

Following the release of Martha Stewart's steamy Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spread, the businesswoman and Shark Tank star, 74, decided to take a stab at creating her own.

A new photo shared to Instagram Thursday shows Corcoran wearing a V-neck white one-piece bathing suit under what appears to be orange satin fabric draped around her shoulders as a makeshift shawl.

She sits on a lounge chair with her legs crossed while smiling at the camera. The view outside the window she sits in front of is all lush greenery and Manhattan buildings.

The next photo in Corcoran's carousel is Stewart's magazine cover, which shows the lifestyle maven in a plunging bathing suit and oversize gold jacket. She poses against a tropical setting in the Dominican Republic.

"I can't cook, but I sure can swim." Corcoran captioned the photos.

"You've seen Martha Stewart…but have you seen me," she added on her Instagram Story, tagging the craft connoisseur.

Not a fan of Barbara Corcoran. On Shark Tank, I find her personality bordering on the line of rude and/or sarcastic. But, that's just my opinion.

As to why some famous people feel the want or need to pose for a magazine swimsuit spread after a certain age is puzzling, for lack of a better word.

@ciao_bella Actually, I believe any woman of any age who wants to pose in a bathing should should. I see no reason why age has any at all to do with it. hinking that privilege belongs only to the young or currently fashionable size is a sure way to continue to give all sorts of power away.

Would I personally choose to pose ? No, but I would not have posed when I was 15 or 21 or any age someone else feels is appropriate.

I understand what you're saying, and I'm not critizing or objecting to anyone doing it. I just don't understand why.

I agree about her personality on Shark Tank. She is so flirtatious and inappropriate with some of the male contestants. No man would get away with that. It's so obvious that she thinks very highly of herself regarding her desirability. But she does have a great figure.

@ciao_bella Most likely older woman mirror their younger selves, so they pose for the same underlying reason beautiful young women push so hard to become acting, dancing, or modeling stars. In good ways and bad, we become more and more of who we are as we age.

I have never given it a huge amount of thought, but I believe I'd have a really hard time finding lots of people of any sex posing in a bathing suit for the first time ever in their 70's and 80's. They most likely have felt comfortable being on public display forever. I believe if we researched we'd find many of the women started early, moved on to cheerleading or gymnastics or modeling long before they posed as we've seen in this thread.

@ciao_bella, ITA with you on all points.

Especially about Barbara's rudeness on Shark Tank. I've cringed at some of the things she's said to people.

Two that I particularly remember: The were a couple of guys who had a BBQ sauce & used the face of a pig on the label.

She said to one of them 'You could use your face on the label, because you look just like a pig.'

Next one, a group of brothers were there to promote their business, and she said to one 'You must be the ugly brother. The others are much better looking.'

Can you imagine the hurt, & on national TV no less?!

And the way she salivates over some men is just gross.

She really must think she's all that & a bag of chips.

@VanSleepy You perfectly expressed my take on her personality and behavior on Shark Tank. I've seen her come on to some younger men in a way that was cringey to watch and the men looked uncomfortable.

If Daymond or Mark pulled this with some of the women, there would be hell to pay.

She's not as hot as the thinks she is!

I found the antithesis of the women you are describing @millieshops .

The women in my own life who worked in what some would be considered "glamour careers" had their day in the sun and have no illusions that it will or should continue. I don't mean they gave up but emphasis is no longer being the beauty in the room. Time to pass the baton to young women.

Oddly enough, it is the women who were never really revered or at least thought they were, that seem to never let go the quest for using their looks for acclaim. A never ending wish that seems to fall flat for many of them.

I think they both look good with all the work they've done. Live and let live they are not harming anyone.

There is no age when to pose in a bathing suit if you're up and feel good about yourself, in my opinion.

She may have reason to be a little arrogant but not to exercise deliberate rudeness, of course. She has accomplished amazing things in a tough market situation. I've heard the Corcoran Group described as the largest real estate firm in NYC and beyond. She an interesting character.

If Barbara did these posed pictures to exclusively be a goof on Martha, then I'm all in. Otherwise, my reaction is .......make it stop! Why do people have the need to go so public with so many personal things about themselves? Look at me! Pay attention to me!

I think she's just having fun like Martha is. Neither aspires to be a swimsuit model or to be taken seriously.

I wish they'd both discarded the wrap they're hiding under.
