With the event being formal, I think the tiara is more appropriate. However, she's beautiful in both.

Well, I love tiaras, so I'm always fond of seeing them on royals in British functions but I also love flowers. I don't think the flowers would look like the Tahitian or Hawaiian ones Kate is wearing in the photo. Maybe the planners are looking into historical headwear worn for previous coronations. If so, then I'd like that too.

I can see why she would choose flowers.

One does not wear white to a wedding unless one is the bride. Perhaps she feels crowns and tiaras should be reserved for others on this day.

Queen Elizabeth did wear flowers in her hair once while touring the South Pacific but I don't think it would be appropriate for a coronation ceremony IMO.

If there is such a thing, perhaps a low-key tiara is in order. I agree that it is a formal event, and tiaras are worn at formal events.

Camilla will be in a crown, won't she? Or will it get switched out for a tiara later?

I like crowns of flowers, but I don't feel they'd be appropriate for this occasion. I think she'd look very out of place.

I just read this morning (can't remember where) that says the queen is the only one wearing a crown. Kate will probably have flowers in her hair. But, tastefully not like that picture.
