Pretty sure there have been compensated influencers, but not by QVC. One very pushy poster in particular comes to mind, who used to post in wellness.

There's only one brand that I would be an influencer for but I won't because it's such a small company I'm afraid they be out of stock of my favorite items. Everything else to me is *moot*. ( Whatever that means)

A compensated influencer is someone who uses social media to promote a product line or lines and is paid with products or cash for doing so. There are lots of them out there. The more posts they put up across social media, the more they get kicked back. They'll often have discount codes that tie sales from their posts to them and they get more for those sales. It's not that different from old TV hosts (like Lucille Ball) endorsing products.

We had someone who posted a fashion blog, which had links to the stores where her clothing items could be purchased. It has since been deleted for "solicitation."
