HSN raised clearance prices…

I was looking through my saved items on HSN the other day and noticed the clearance price went up an average of $2 per item.... in all the years I've shopped with them I've never seen anything like that. Interesting.

Why is it interesting? You know the situation that HSN and QVC are in. It's no surprise that they have maximize there income. And they have right to increase prices on anything anytime they choose to. That's why when you see something you like, at a price you like buy it. Don't play the waiting game hoping the price goes down.

@tiara1 After reading your post I checked my Saved List on HSN. I have 5 apparel items, they are all still the same price with the exception of one. That particular one was some kind of limited time sale, cant remember exactly what, now it's regular price.

Many times HSN offers a discount on Clearance items, like 20% off or something similar. After a period of time the 20% is no longer offered. That is probably what happened to your items.

It's also fiscally responsible of any retail company to create urgency to buy something at a current price.

I think many people save things until they go down in price which is perfectly fine, but now if there is a possibility a price may go up, it may influence more purchases earlier.

@cjm61 I agree. Mondays Leah has a show on Q that is called Fashion Deals. There are special markdowns for just that show, and especially clearance items. I think the show is mostly clearance if I am not mistaken. It will go back to the original clearance price after the show,

I just noticed an item I purchased and received last week was marked down 50% (about $10 or so) - going to call and see if I can get a price adjustment.
