Might need the air conditioner....

I happened to glance at the weather forecast for my area. Tomorrow it'll be 79F (maybe warmer) Of course it won't last. By Friday it'll tumble down to the mid 50F (where we've been for most of January and all of February) The other week was that storm that hit the west & Midwest. Of course all we got was rain.

Inside our house here in Texas, it is not really hot this morning...yet. But, after bringing Willow back inside, it is quite stuffy. So, the A/C is on for the first time this year.

Thursday and Friday we're supposed to be in the 80's. Yuck! Where I live our AC usually goes on as early as April, sometimes May and stays on into October because it's still darn hot here then.

No air conditioner needed in Wisconsin today. We are awaiting multiple inches of snow and ice. Hoping the ice build-up doesn't take down the electric line or transformer.

I'm with the last poster. Here in SW MI, we're possibly going to get ice and snow. Snow is easier to handle. Ice no way!!!!!

To me, who lives where is normally quite warm in summer, these warm winter temperatures are quite scary. If it's this warm now, what is summer going to be like? I shudder to think.

Strangely, we in the desert, have had a very cold but bone dry winter. Lots of snow in the mountains though.

East Texas driving home from work yesterday it was 81º so I ran mine last night. It is going back up this afternoon to lower '80's after the rain clears out. 60 right now and was 72 when I left for work this morning.

In Utah I got almost 2 feet of snow today. Can't even imagine summer.

In Utah we're having a major snow storm. I have about 8 in of snow in my yard and the wind is blowing. Three feet of snow expected for the mountains. Schools are closed, businesses shut, and the roads are terrible.

I'm not even going out to the mailbox today. My poor little dog took a step off the porch to do her business and fell in snow up to her nose. She was shocked and it's going to be hard to get her out again.

We're heating up here in S Central TX. I think it's supposed to reach 86 today. It was 70, at 01:00 this AM. Many days predicted in the high 80's for about a week, then a brief cool down in the 70's for a few days.

But, it looks like winter is over here. We went from comfortable, cool weather too suddenly. My daily walk, I have been enjoying, is already unpleasant, with the heat and humidity. It's going to be a long summer. Ugh!

We've had rain all morning. It's supposed to get up to the mid 60's today and tomorrow but I think it will be a struggle to get there today.

We live in the White Mountains of NE AZ and are in the midst of a snow storm with very gusty winds. We should get around 12". We've had frequent similar storms this Winter. We are spending the day primarily snuggled in bed with our 2 doxies watching out our large window. Tomorrow we deal with clearing driveway.

I put ceiling fans in every room of our Townhome right it was built. That was in 1980.

First thing I did when we moved into our present paradise, in 2001, was do the same here. Our townhome was 1,000sq ft, our home, not including our basement, is 3,200sq ft. Actually have 2 in our kitchen because of its size.

Stuffy/humid rooms feel very comfortable with air movement, and being the frugal guy that I have always been! Our patio room was in the low 80's last weekend(sun and all big glass facing the South). By 8pm the temp was back in the mid 60's.

AC, in February for me? Nope, just move the air.

There are weather extremes all across the country. It's 48F now but humid. Tomorrow it'll be around 80F. But the strange part is that's only one day! The very next day, down will go the temps. Meanwhile our winter without any snow continues. Just tons of rain.

Our weather in upstate SC has been all over the place! We had frost last week and now it's going to be 80 degrees tomorrow. In the high 70's today and sunny. Had rain last night. Spring flowers are out and have been hit by frost several times in the last few weeks. Makes me dread summer coming with all that heat and humidity.......

@Kachina624 Yeah, at the moment, I'm dreading facing this summer. Temp exceeded the prediction today. It's now 92 in the shade. That's crazy for February.

Believe me, I've thought of relocating, many times, but it wouldn't be practical for me. If I was younger, I wouldn't mind starting over somewhere else.

Well, here in Northern CA we are freezing ou butts off - it is snowing/hailing as I type this. AND it is suppose to snow/hail through Monday. We're about 1.5 hrs from Lake Tahoe, the sky is pitch black - guess we'll get more today. Seems like we have the East Coast weather and they have ours!!
