However, normal procedures are that they be examined more closely. Considering the doctor removed five from you, a three year schedule seems wise.

I had one a few months ago. My first one. YUCK! That dreadful drink!! I think your doctor probably cut some pieces and sent them off for biopsy. I wouldn’t worry much. I didn’t see my doctor afterwards either. They just called me back and told me to take the prescription off basically (PEPCID). But I found out about 2 1/2 months later how many side affects the medication was causing me. So I stopped taking it! I feel much better. But that medicine causes weak bones overtime so shouldn’t take it too long anyway. I am supposed to take it a year.

I hope you are well. And just don’t worry and try to forget and pretend that you never had the procedure until you see your doctor. Or better yet, call the doctor office on Monday and ask the nurse if they took biopsies?

That’s what I would do if I was you! Hope you are okay🙂💖

I had surgery in December, all is well and I've been back to work since mid January. Things are looking good ... and I knew I just had to go ahead and schedule the dreaded colonoscopy next! Especially since my younger sister just had hers done (before me!)!! 🤪

Oh my @JFD12 . What a true blessing that you had the surgery in Dec and back to work in Jan. So glad things turned out well! Such good news. Thanks for motivating me to get this procedure done.

I've already had 2 and I'm on the 10 year plan.

The doctor cannot see at the cellular level, so what he is commenting on is that the polyps have not yet become obviously cancerous, IMO. But, they still need to be looked at under the microscope just to make sure. I had them say the same thing to me when I had a breast biopsy. I didn't see the doctor until after the report came in.

There are several methods for doing the prep. I don't think they do the pills anymore since people wouldn't drink enough liquid afterwards which could result in kidney damage. My 1st one I had the big jug with the crystals, called Go-Lightly. The 2nd time I took a couple of Dulcolax the night before the prep. On the day of the prep was clear liquids and then Miralax and lots of clear liquids. I ended up throwing up due to the amount of liquids on my stomach. I just can't take it. I've decided I will no longer force myself to try and drink the amount of liquid prescribed in such a short time again.

Those are not the only two methods. It's going to depend on your doctor which is acceptable.

I would suggest to eat easily digetible foods for a couple of days prior to the prep. That'll help with the cleanout.
