I'm so annoyed at UPS!

I had 2 packages out for delivery today, 2 Logo shirts and a pair of Isaac pants. The Q got them out asap and both were out for delivery today. Lo and behold at 1:56 pm EST the UPS guy put a package on the porch and left. I went out a few minutes later only to find a piece of luggage in a box addressed to my neighbor across the street. No Q packages to be seen. I checked the tracking info and sure enough, both were marked delivered at 1:56. GRRRRRRR! I called UPS customer service and the lady said she would forward the info. I then called my neighbor and told her there was a package on my front porch for her My packages aren't on her porch, so who knows. This is the first time this has happened to me with UPS. But, kudos to the Q for shipping so quickly, both were out for delivery within a week of me ordering. I just hope my packages turn up. Thank you for letting me vent.

He/She had to have scanned your items at the same time he scanned your neighbor's package for them to show as delivered. So I'm assuming it's still on the truck and he/she will find them at the end of the day.

Happened to me once. They came back at the end of their route later in the evening. But it is frustrating

Welcome to the club! I have an idiot for a UPS driver. For several months he's left things at the wrong houses all over town. Two weeks ago he claimed to have delivered my 4 Q packages at 4:47pm, only he didn't deliver them to me. I was watching and never saw a truck plus my dogs never heard anybody. The packages have never appeared. Two of the four items were sold out.

Previously he left a Patricia Nash handbag at a neighbor's house. They were on vacation so it sat on their doorstep for a week. Thanks to our drought, there was no rain.

Others things have been delivered elsewhere but mysteriously appeared a day or two later.

I can't find a UPS phone number to complain, with a human on their end. I wish they would just turn things over to USPS as they're supposed to do. I get those promptly.

UPS is not the only one: My problem was with FEDX delivering to another homeowner three individual packages within a few days with proof of delivery photo of each package at their home provided in their tracking info. I contacted them via online on the first two package deliveries. Finally, I called FEDX directly concerning the third package. The driver called me and apologized numerous times. The homeowner brought the first package to me with a smile....the second one with no smile. The third one was brought to me the next evening by the homeowner after FEDX contacted them. This third package 'looked like' it had been in their garbage with egg residue and the box was damp and stunk. My address was correct on all three packages.

We live in a small neighborhood with 2 streets, like "Elm". One is a "Drive". The other a "court".

Numbers 1-5 on "Elm Drive" constantly trade packages with the ones that live on 1-5 "Elm Court"!

Our counterpart has his own business and gets giant, heavy boxes. When I go to get my things, they have the worst driveway in this neighborhood.

It never ends.

No, you do not have an idiot for a UPS driver. He/She is someone doing their job, as fast as they can go. That's what UPS demands of them.

SMH at your comment. You should probably go to a local store to make your purchases.

I live on Pinecrest and the street directly behind me is Pinelake .....we have the exact same house number so guess where UPS leaves their packages.. yep on my front porch...

@KatieB I must disagree. He's an idiot if he can't correctly read an address and take the package there consistently. That's his job and he's costing his company money. He makes too many mistakes.

Thousands upon thousands of people will have bad experiences with these carriers from time to time. I loathe Fed Ex the most though.

I must be lucky because it's usually the "A" driver not UPS or USPS that mess up addresses.

I always get packages for another person. I normally just drop it off because it's the next street or I'll call her.

We have different driver for UPS almost every week.

@Kachina624 - I am sorry to hear about your situation. Everyone makes mistakes but consistently bad service is not acceptable in my opinion. It seems that no one wants to accept responsibility at times. I have had three experiences during the holidays: (1) a pair of earrings from a department store shipped without a box so I had to untangle them; (2) two prints delivered with the packages slit upon on top; and (3) my cable provider’s failure to timely post my payment. I do not have to explain to you the time and aggravation. Good luck and best wishes to you.

It must be a local issue. I always get my packages and only once got a neighbors by mistake and that was many years ago.

I wish you all could have my UPS driver! He's just wonderful! He goes over and beyond being just a delivery guy! He's friendly and kind and does his job with the utmost pride. We've never had any issues with him.

Based on my own experiences....

I agree that the USPS is the best as far as the actual delivery process is concerned, their issues usually occur somewhere in the pipeline where an item will be trapped in processing center limbo for a number of days-- or it may even reach your town...only to go on an extended tour of the country for a few more days!

Amazon has usually been great, but sometimes they send an email saying a package was delivered and you are out scouring the neighborhood and it actually comes the following day.

As far as delays in the shipping routes, tracking ability, and responsive customer service go, UPS is the absolute worst. FedEx is only marginally better.

@KatieB You obviously do not have the UPS service we have. You wouldn't be so happy with them either. We used to get a lot of UPS packages--now mostly FedEx and I feel that it was customer complaints that have forced retailers to make the switch.

FedEx is now marginally better than UPS--and UPS sends e-mails to us all day "delaying" package deliver times. And they delive way too many things to the wrong address around here.
