Without using the words, inheritance or money, what do people who are successful have in common?

Once read/heard that people who have "L's" in their names are successful in life. So what makes a person successful? Without using the words money or inheritance, what do successful people owe their success in life to?

Drive.

No biases, prejudices against people.

Respect for employees.

Willing to learn.

A persons answer depends on what they consider success.

IMO knowing what you want to do for a living early in life and doing what it takes to achieve that job. Having knowledge on how to invest your funds. Surrounding yourself with positive and like minded people. Knowing yourself well enough to know whether marriage is right for you and, finding the right mate.

Finding what talents you have and acting on them even if its just for fun.

Be true to yourself. This is #1.

Oh this is a good one and one I have insight on.

Ambition, drive, good education and willing to work slowly up the ladder. Willing to move and be flexible with your job/business. Continue learning doing courses/weekend studying which means sacrifices on family time. I also think support/help on both personal and business sides. Having good, hardworking people around you and taking on work which may not be exciting but can lead to more success.

Once success is being achieved be appreciative and be willing to share your knowledge and time While being professional be compassionate and know the people around you and give them the same opportunities. Take risks and be optimistic, the person I know won an award at school for being a happy child and continues to be a happy adult even when live throws curve balls.

People who own their own businesses. It takes a lot of sacrafice and skill to do this well.

Good health is a big factor. An injury or sickness at the wrong time or of the wrong severity can seriously handicap even the most driven and intelligent individual.
