Seahawks Fever

I'm not really a pro football fan at all. I mainly watch my Huskies and that's it. But this town is going nuts right now as the countdown begins to Saturday. There are 12th man flags all over the place, 12th man donuts being sold, people have decorated their yards with Seahawks colors, flags,people camped out at the stadium. The people across the street from me have a huge spruce tree decorated like a Christmas tree with Seahawks blue and green ornaments and lights. You would think there is nothing else going on in this city. It's a happening! I hope they aren't disappointed. Go Seahawks!

You're my girl and all, but I sooo don't need to hear about the momentum, lol. They are lookin' really fierce right now but my loyalty has to be with the Pats.

I think we're just taking one game at a time. Tomorrow, it's just the Saints. For me, I don't get that worked up about it, even my alma mater's team. Yes, it would be nice for them to go all the way and to win, but in the end, it's just a game. I'll probably watch some of it, but probably not the whole thing. Since I am not an avid football fan, I don't want my watching it to jinx it. I don't want to appear to anxious for them to extract victory because I am superstitious about wanting something too badly. I just find the fever affecting Seattle a curious thing.

I would love to see your Seahawks play my Broncos in the Super Bowl!! That would be one helluva game!!

I don't know enough about all the pro teams to even say anything cogent about them. Sure, the Broncos would be fine with me....Denver, right? LOL

The last and only other time the Seahawks went to the Super Bowl, they mopped the field with the Steelers the first half. Then a couple bad calls and plays later they fell apart and threw away the second half to lose the whole thing. Matt Hasselback's days with Seattle were numbered after that.

I watched that whole game and wanted them to win so badly for my city, and they lost. See what I mean about a jinx?

I'd also love to see Broncos-Seahawks.

Weather is going to be nasty for the Seattle game, rain and lots of wind.

I should have clarified. I meant the weather will affect the play calling during the game, especially wind. Probably a bigger deal for the Saints.

Well, it certainly rained torrents all night. Now it's bright and no rain at least. But the game isn't until the afternoon. At least the temps are fairly mild. I wonder how many out of town fans will attend.

This is my choice for the game of the weekend! A few years ago I consulted on a case in Seattle, and have to say, I am in love with that city. Go Seahawks!

My son picked the Seahawks as the team to watch this year way back in July. Even his grandfather called him, son is 16, for advice on which team to bet on with his long-time football betting buddy of 40+ years . . . but alas the buddy picked the Seahawks before PaPa had a chance to pick them. haha

This could be Seattle's chance for redemption since their embarrassing defeat to the Steelers at the only Super Bowl they have been in. Several people I know who are football buffs claim this is the best team they have ever had.

Mom, OUR....OUR Broncos...lol! I do think that would also be a great game, hopefully with the Broncos winning of course. I have always liked the Seahawks, grew up watching Steve Largent play and thought he was just one of the best WR's ever. Very happy the Seahawks have gone this far, will be watching and cheering for them this afternoon.

By no means am I an expert, but I do agree. We've had some good teams along the way, but I think this is the best team we've ever had.
