Needing help from those who crochet

I am searching the internet for a free crochet pattern to make a boys sweater size 8-10. I want to make it for my 7 yo grandson as a Christmas present. Etsy has patterns you have to pay for but I really don't want to put my info online just to get a pattern. I haven't seen any free patterns like it used to be online. I could buy a pattern book from Amazon but I really don't need a book of patterns I probably won't use. I may end up having to order a Etsy pattern but just thought I would check here to see if others may have recommendations, Thanks

you have to register but then u have an array of patters at ur fingertips

u can search by free or paid patterns

crochet or knit - size - gender etc

Don't waste another second and join Ravelry. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of patterns there, many free or inexpensive. When you join, they don't try to sell you anything or send you endless emails. You can search for whatever kind of pattern you want.

I have crocheted over 50 years. For the past 10 I use Pinterest & YouTube for everything crocheted.

Get some ideas onYou Tube....may not be a sweater, although there's books on those sort of things at Michael's JoAnn's and anywhere yarn might be sold.
