It's official. Curate is the new word the host were told to use in 2022. New fall fashions sure, wine package sure but the Blink security camera has been curated just for me according to Jen Coffey. Yes first world problems but I like the funny, odd human behaviors we do.

I notice it all the time. She twists her mouth into weird shapes. She must think it makes her look cute.

@Kachina624 Now I can't stop laughing. I was just looking at those Boxes that Carver Dan makes and I came across this review. Not sure I want one now. LOL

Its super cute but IT SMELLS SO BAD!!! It seriously smells like someone pulled it out of a sewer. Not sure what that’s about. Im hoping I can air it out so that I don’t have to give my boyfriend a gift that smells like a porta potty

@BalletBabe I'd call that a legitimate complaint. I bet those boxes have a rubbed oil finish like linseed oil. It'll probably dissipate as it's exposed to air. Some are very clever; I recently saw one I really liked.

@BalletBabe Cataracts are long gone but I do have some vision problems.

Yes, I did notice that. I think the first person I heard it from was Katrina Szish and then they all caught on and started using it.

Curate: select, organize, and look after the items in (a collection or exhibition).

"both exhibitions are curated by the museum's director"

Looks like QVC is using the word like its supposed to.

I can't figure out what's the problem.

Here is the first meaning for curate in the dictionary:

"a member of the clergy engaged as assistant to a vicar, rector, or parish priest"

Now fit that into a presentation Jen SMH

"Enrobed" is another one...

Usually when gushing about some kind of chocolate covered confection, and a few times I heard it with the Prindables apples...

"Obsessed" is up there too...ESPECIALLY when having spasms of wonder over anything made of Sherpa.....

The odd thing about the word "obsessed" is it's often used to describe some other host from the one doing the demo...

" Courtly is OBSESSED with this pajama leg!!!" exclaims Shawn breathlessly...

And there's this other word that MAY have been given a sabbatical...I haven't heard it in a few days....."honey"....????

It's a word more commonly used in museums but seems ok in other uses too, just unusual. On Q, the use of the word makes the selections seem important. A curated selection of wines seems ok tho'.

I think when it refers to a member of the clergy, it's pronounced differently

@Kachina624 I was looking at the Motorcycle for my son. I won't buy it if I have to pay shipping. I will keep my eye on it.

@Othereeeen Lori Goldstein seems to become obsessed constantly, have you noticed? I just wonder how many obsessions one person can have at a time before they slip over the edge.
