I came across this - he was found in the bathtub. I read he had substance abuse issues. One doesn't just die in a bathtub. Very sad.

RIP Aaron. At least half of people with mental health issues develop some sort of drug addiction during their lives. I'm sad for the child that he left behind.

Read an online. He was photographed at age 15 smoking pot and has said that he's had mental health issues for years.

Two of his sublings got restrainnig orders against him at some point due to his huge gun arsenal.

I read a lengthy arrival about his passing; Aaron Carter had a long history of mental health problems, drugs, alcohol, and relationship problems. Such a tragic life he led...and died so young. Condolences to his family, especially his mother, who seemed to bear the brunt of his many emotional problems.

Oh my, this family has had challenges. I was reading that Aaron has a twin sister and another sister who died of a drug overdose.

If true, Aaron wasn't the only one in the family fighting addictions. Hard to imagine losing two children this way.

By his history, Aaron was likely a poly-substance abuser who has been abusing his body since very young. So there's a possibility he had a medical emergency, not related to a drug overdose at the moment he died, but sounds unlikely.

Toxic screens and autopsy will shed light on what happened. May this young man finally find peace from his personal demons.

@colliemom4 I've read more news stories about this since I commented to you. I read that 9-1-1 got a call saying that someone drowned. The article went on to say he was found in his bathtub.

I just skimmed through different headlines and read one saying he was found in his pool. The same article said that other sources were saying he was in his tub.

I don't know which one is true.

Update:

4:03 PM PT -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells TMZ ... Aaron's house sitter found his body in the bath tub and called authorities.

Aaron Carter has died ... TMZ has learned.

The singer-turned-rapper and actor was found dead Saturday at his house in Lancaster, CA ... multiple sources tell us Aaron's body was found in his bathtub. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they received a 911 call at 11 AM Saturday that a male had drowned in the tub.

This is a sad story. I watched him interviewed a few years back, and he was struggling.

Substance abuse can contribute to the development of mental illness. It disrupts some of the brain areas that are present in mental illness. There are so many factors genetic, environmental, or trauma.

Who knows what came first.

His name sounds familiar but I cannot place him. Even after looking at a picture that someone posted here.

To die at such a young age. RIP.
