Here we go again! non-stop Medicare ads till the end of the year!! (Now I know why Elvis shot his tv.)

I know what you are saying. I change the channel for 2 minutes, put the tv on mute, get up and do a short task, read until my show goes back on. I refuse to listen.

I feel the same way about the political candidates' ads full of lies and deception. The audio on my tv is on mute half of the time. Come on November 8th.

The barrage of Medicare Advantage ads is both annoying and confusing!

The insurance companies certainly recognize that seniors on Medicare are a large and profitable market or they wouldn't be spending all that money on these non stop commercials. However, After Open Enrollment we become invisible again. They aren't interested in what we watch, we don't count in the ratings. We are usually only represented on shows as the wisecracking crotchety old aunt-uncle-grandparent who gets a zinger in once a week. This lucrative market spends money on more than Medicare supplements! We deserve a lot more than Joe Namath and Jimmy Walker

pestering us for three months a year!

One of the most intelligently written and beautifully performed (by the entire ensemble cast!) shows was "Mom". Once the cute little blonde left the show and the cast was all over 50, they cancelled that show right quick. At the time it was the 7th highest rated comedy on TV. It outrated about 12 other shows that stayed on because they had better demographics (code for no old folks watching.)

They should get that cast together and make entertaining Medicare Advantage commercials!

I see Medicare ads all year around. I don't think they're any more plentiful now than they are the rest if the year. Maybe they're on channels I don't watch.

I've seen a huge increase in Medicare junk mail but its no problem as I stop at the garbage can on my way into the house.

It depends on what channel you're watching. Cozi is tha absolute worst during the day. If it's not an Open Enrollment then it's Persil laundry detergent. That's it, the only 2 ads they air.

I don't watch much TV so I don't see many of the ads but I do get phone calls and mail about medicare advanage. Don't answer the phone and throw away the mail.

I am fortunate to have excellent insurance as a retiree from a large corporation and our insurance plan includes medicare as apart of it along with a prescription medicine plan. We cannot enroll in Medicare Part D for prescriptions or add an Advantage plan to our company coverage without losing our company sponsored medical plan.

As I see it I am far ahead with my company plan and will not mess with it. We do have to be enrolled in Medicare Part B and part of our plan. I have paid very little in medical expenses during my life as a result of my company insurance and am so grateful. I have no deductible and 5% co pay for Part B expenses.

Why? Because I record everything and watch at a later time.

That remote and me FF all commercials....unless I stumble by Walter the Cat (Chevy), LOL

I love that cat! You can You Tube his 2 commercials....

I refuse to watch anything live...except the Bills....and when those commercials come on?

I click to QVC....which is one big commercial I guess! LOLOLOL

The most effective way to stop it is to urge your congressional representatives to support the Save Medicare Act meant to prevent for profit insurance companies into tricking seniors into thinking that "Medicare Advantage" plans are actually part of Medicare. The bill sponsors are are seeking to “prohibit private insurers from using ‘Medicare’ in plan titles or advertisements, and impose significant fines for any insurer that engages in this deceptive practice.”

And “Only Medicare is Medicare. It is one of the most popular and important services the government provides. We should be working to expand this service to include coverage for dental, vision, and hearing care, as well as looking at ways to strengthen it rather than allowing these ‘Medicare Advantage’ programs to provide pale alternatives to what Medicare does."

The Balance of Nature fruit/veggie capsules is just too much. Fox has them on constantly. And no, not thinking of changing news channels. But when I want a supplement I will NEVER, EVER choose this one. Just because of their tiresome, constant commercials. Now Kathie Lee is on touting it! You get a discount if you put in the code KLG. Isn't that just as cute as it can be???

While I agree that the ads are misleading, unless you are willing to protest where it would count, complaining here will not change it.
