Gotta Laugh about Shipping !!

How crazy is this one? I ordered the TSV lights from a few days ago, they were processed in Carollton Tx @3:41 on 10/10, sent to Eugene OR arriving @6 pm on 10/10 ( I'm in Mo) but they were also received for processing in Fife Wa @ 6:49 pm (again I'm in Mo) (it gets better) on 10/11 they again departed from Carollton Tx @ 2:09 am arriving in KC MO on 10/12 @ 1:50 pm! (getting closer only 4 hrs away!)

But wait ! They leave KC, Mo on 10/12 @ 7:10 am and received today 10/13 @ 7:10 am in Bensenville IL for processing !!! What the Heck ! So the last update I now have is that the package left there @ 10:24 am on its way to Fort Worth Tx !! I give up ! Hopefully the package will get here by Thanksgiving

QVC should put little trackers in their packages to see how many miles they rack up getting from point A to point B. I"m guessing it would rarely be as the crow flies.

What a trip. I am having a similar problem with an HSN Jay King necklace. I started at Tennessee, went to NC, and now it's in Fontana, CA, AND I'm in OHIO. I think it's that UPS Innovations company.

I just received my TSV lights and mine showed almost exactly the same tracking info. I see no real reason for shipping back and forth to different parts of the country...especially when it is going thousands of miles away from its destination. No wonder the shipping costs so much and the delivery is so slow.

its crazy for sure. I ordered a Den & CO shirt last month, I swear it traveled everywhere but where I live . IT TOOK 23 days to get here from ship date......Nuts

ALL KIDDING ASIDE........I SUGGEST THAT QVC RESHAPES ITS ENTIRE SHIPPING AND RETURN PROCESS AS IT CAN BE A NIGHTMARE. GIVE US FREE SHIPPING EVERY DAY ON EVERY LITTLE THING, AND CLEAN THE MESS OF HAVING THINGS GO ALL OVER AND FIX WAITING ALMOST 3 WKS ON RETURNS TO CREDITS ON THE Q CARD. OH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

It's got to be coming via US mail. Carrollton is home to a large regional sorting facility a few towns away. I have had packages leave Carrollton, go to Fort Worth, back to Carrollton then my local PO and not be deliverd for three days. all in all 10 days from Carrollton to my home. Could have driven to pick it up in less than an hour.

I will just add that I ordered something from Kohl's (usually good shipping) and it finally shipped on the 4th from New York. Traveled to another state, then another state. (I'm in New England.)

Finally made it to Connecticut on the 10th, so I thought "almost there". But, no, it then inexplicably went to Illinois. It finally made it here, after I asked for a status update and was told a "trailer arrived late" (from where?).

This was UPS. It seems there is no rhyme or reason to any of the carriers' systems now.

I ordered something on Sept.18th and it still says in Progress. Thankfully it isn't anything I needed quickly. Usually I get things in about 5 days so this order must be taking a vacation too.

On several occasions - pkg got to NY ... but then went to NJ and then back to NY. For instance ... just recently...

I have an order that says it was shipped on Oct. 10. It gives a tracking number but says status not available. Tried the tracking number and it says awaiting carrier pickup. Have no idea where it is shipping from. Of course, they charged my credit card because it says it was shipped a week ago. How long do you wait before you contact QVC to try to resolve? I suppose it is possible it is enroute but every once in a while, you get crazy order status info like this.

@naturalfan - That means the item has been shipped - awaiting pickup by the carrier, just as it says.

You won't see updated tracking info until then, but at least it's on its way. Very often now, I get that and know that I just have to wait while they update the tracking info. Then it will suddenly show a lot more information.

I recently tried to track a package (from a different retailer) and the UPS site said they were having delays updating info. I did get the package with no problems, but didn't see the tracking info until it was almost delivered.

I've found that signing up for updates with the relevant carrier (UPS or USPS) helps. It's free - you just have to supply your email or phone number (for texts).

It is almost insulting how long it takes to get something from QVC. Double insult that you are charged for that snail pace. They cannot, or simply don't want to, come into this century. Pony Express was faster.
