I read this and will paraphrase. There is an asparagus-tossing soothsayer in the UK who has made predictions by reading how the stalks of asparagus fall, and has been spot on. She predicted both Phillip and the Queen's deaths and Meghan and Harry's departure and now says Charles will abdicate next year and turn the kingdom over to William.

Maybe due to her acute intuition rather than the asparagus stalks. The abdication would not surprise me.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: A fortune teller claims to have had a premonition about King Charles after correctly predicting Queen Elizabeth's demise earlier this month.

Brits are having a difficult time getting used to life without the illustrious monarch, who died at the age of 96 on September 8, 2022. However, the so-called 'Asparamancer' Jemima Packington was expecting the Queen's death after her asparagus formed the shape of a broken crown. She is known to throw spears into the air and interpret how they land, and she claims she knew something terrible was imminent once she saw the broken crown in early 2022.

The spears formed a crown with some broken off which indicated to me that there would be a great Royal sadness," Packington told SWNS, as quoted by Talker. "When I saw pictures of the Queen welcoming Liz Truss I noticed how frail she looked and I said to my friend ‘it won’t be long now.' I thought back to my readings of the spears and just thought to myself 'oh no.' I am a huge fan of the Queen and I was very sad when she died.”

Packington has made a number of predictions in her time as a soothsayer, claiming to have foreseen Brexit, the death of Prince Philip, the ousting of Theresa May as prime minister, as well as Harry and Meghan stepping down as working royals. After the Queen passed, Packington performed another reading and came up with some rather intriguing predictions, including King Charles III taking a "step back."

The fortune teller explained, "Since the Queen died, I did a reading and some very interesting things came out. In one formation, I saw the spears make the letter ‘A’ pointing to the letter ‘E’. From this, I interpreted this as Princess Anne being made Duchess of Edinburgh which would be a wonderful tribute to her father who she was very close to. She is the most hardworking of the royals and I think it would be very fitting for her to have the title Duchess of Edinburgh."

She added, "The spears also suggest that King Charles will take a step back, due to his age, and make William Prince Regent. There is a precedent for this happening before in this country." Packington predicted that Prince William, in the next twelve months, will "take over many duties of the King" as Prince Regent -- who rules in place of the nominal sovereign.

Thanks for an interesting post! Asparagus tossing; and she has co-ordinated herself by modelling an asparagus-colored jacket....

Clairvoyance isn't necessarily involved in predicting the passing of people in their later 90s, but perhaps Charles will abdicate in favor of William. We don't know much about his health, but he does not look as hale and hearty as his parents did in their 70s. On the other hand, the late Queen made it clear that the succession should not be tampered with. Her uncle's abdication almost brought the monarchy to an end.

I don't think Charles would ever abdicate. He waited too many years to be king and his ego wouldn't let him do that.

There is absolutely no reason why King Charles should abdicate and it’s ridiculous to suggest that he should. What does ego have to do with it? Should Elizabeth have abdicated because she was old? If he wants to, ok, but I see no reason why this is suggested by any of us. It’s a duty that is not accepted flippantly and just discarded. I believe he’s already made mention of shifting some duties among members of the family. William will be well-prepared to take over some day.

The Queen was 96 freakin years old and had gotten pretty frail. Not a stretch to predict her death. Yes, she died suddenly but at nearly 100 is it really unexpected.

Anyone could have predicted Prince Philip's demise last year as any public view of him showed him in increasing frailty. And what was the deep mysterious insight needed to predict the Queen, at 96 and making fewer public appearances, lived with her days numbered?

Which way do the asparagus spears fall to declare King Charles III wanting to give up the crown to have William as Regent? Do the spears fall the same way so consistently to make these predictions rather than absurd guesses?

Quirky, kooky, or cray cray this silly woman has achieved her 15 minutes of fame. There will always be an England, as their patriotic WWII song goes. This kind of silliness is very popular there.

Funny, that's exactly what my asparagus toss revealed, lol.

We don't need asparagus to predict death for the elderly with failing health issues and Charles' expression, throughout, was one of wanting to be anywhere else. To just run, but he's in golden handcuff's.

My asparagus predicts that if Charles doesn't step down in the next few years, that his health will decline rapidly. The Queen thrived in her role, probably aiding in her longevity, but I don't think this will hold true for Charles.

Asparagus are only supposed to have one toss. They made a nice side afterwards :-).
