Question for the Amazon gurus

I have seen the #clearthelist for teachers on social media who have wish lists on Amazon to help stock their classrooms.

I would like to help but I do not want my personal return address on the box that Amazon sends out. I know I can clear my name from the gift portion so nothing is inside the box on the packing slip, correct?

But I can not for the life of me find out if they stick my home address on the box as the sender or not. I don't want it there for privacy reasons. I want to be an anonymous donor.

I want to say everything I ever got from Amazon has their address on the box and I'm good to go but can someone confirm that as long as I clear my name from the gift packing slip I'm good to go?

I buy alot from A and send gifts also. My name is not on the box as sender. Its always Amazon and your name doesnt have to be on the inside slip unless you write a greeting.

@Laura14 Your home address will NOT be on the box. It's not even in the package as the gift giver.... just whatever you write on the gift note.

Amazon packages are always completely anonymous to support a teacher that way.

Lots of people want to help and take privacy very seriously. Some enjoy helping anonymously for the sake of the gratification of giving without any particular consideration of their privacy.

Whatever is the motivation, Amazon makes it very easy to remain unknown, unidentified and still generous by whatever degree of purchase you make for a classroom in need.

Feel good about your commendable choice to give a boost to a teacher who so much cares for her class. You will not have to lose the security of anonymity.

Feel good about how much good you will be doing.

@gizmogal Thank you. I wasn't sure if I needed to select a privacy option to get it or if it was automatic which it appears to be.

And the thanks really belongs to another teacher who shared the hashtag with the writing community to let those of us unfamiliar with the drive find it. Hopefully the local kids will be thrilled with some new math and science stuff.

If interested, you can search the hashtag #clearthelist and it will pop up links to the Amazon wishlists. Believe it not, most teachers really want a simple cheap box of pencils.

The Posters here are correct. No return address. Not even an invoice which I'm happy about. I have enough garbage.

It's so funny at times when one of us send a gift for our niece and nephews and forget to send a gift message. Their mom would put a picture of the gift on the family Whattsapp and the "guilty" party will answer.

Call or email Amazon and ask them. They have the best customer service. I usual request request that a rep call me and I always get a call in less than an hour.

Been buying from Amazon for many years, and we are Prime members. I have never gotten a "packing slip" or any type of slip in any of my Amazon purchases.

My wife used to send gifts to her mothers apartment when she was alive, and also her mother ordered things for herself using our address. Last week my wife had an order delivered to her, while Pet Sitting in a small city in our state.

Since I never get a packing slip or any reference to any of my orders, I can't imagine them disclosing anything you do not want the gift receiver to know.

@Sage04 😂 I did put my first name on the gift message and responded to the teacher on social media (as anonymous as this forum) where she posted to watch her address on Sunday when Amazon said it will deliver. I got back a huge thank you gif.

Thanks everyone for helping. It's such a shame to worry about doing a kind deed but I trust no one these days and I did want to help out a local district.
