Do you get USPS mail everyday?

So many issues with Regular(USPS) mail deliveries here..

On a regular basis..I don't get mail 2 or 3 days a week..The day after I don't get a delivery my mailbox is stuffed..Some of the mail that comes a day or 2 late is time sensitive.

I have called the postmaster in our town ..I'm usually told" we didn't have a delivery driver for your route today".

When pkgs. get passed from UPS to USPS on a Friday...I don't get them until at least Tuesday!

@Jo1313 Yes, we get mail every day except Sunday here in NY. That's one thing we don't have a problem with. It's a small town.

I get mail everyday...our PO is understaffed but they still do a great job.

Yes, Monday-Saturday but it comes really late. Sometimes 7:30 PM or so.

We no longer get mail every day either. We also don't have the same mail carrier every day. We used to always have the same person, now it's always different people. I'm just glad I don't rely on the post office to get my bills or send any payments. I would have no faith that my payments would get where they're going in a reasonable amount of time.

I've also had multiple times when something was supposedly out for delivery but when I check that night because I didn't get it, it says that delivery was attempted and package was sent back to post office or some other bogus excuse. I'm always unhappy when I order something and then find out it was shipped via the USPS.

@Jo1313 Have you signed up for "Informed Delivery" where they advise you every morning what's coming that day? Its not always accurate but it helps.

The US house of Representatives has done inqueries into post office operations. You might contact your representative if you suspect your mail is not being delivered on a timely basis.

I do not get mail every single day since I do not have that much that needs to come in. Nothing to do with my mail service.

@Jo1313 I'm downstate on the Jersey border. We have driving routes and walking routes. I live on a driving route.

We get our mail daily in the town we are in now minus Sundays. When we lived out in a much more rural area we wouldn't get mail for several days sometimes. Most of the time it was weather related as we lived on a dirt road. There are times when I do track items presently and see they are out for delivery or delivered and they actually don't show up until the next day or so. IMO, there is too much handing off mail between the USPS, FEDEX and UPS.......this causes more delays than necessary. I have to say though we do finally receive most everything eventually.

I get mail Monday through Saturday, although I never really know what time it's going to come.

There are random days once in awhile when we don't get any mail, but that's timing, not the post office's delivery schedule. We get daily mail delivery Monday - Saturday unless I put a temporary vacation hold on it.

@Kachina624 speaking of Informed Delivery. I love it because I don't have to go to the mail box everyday. Not always correct. My notification for today just popped in a few minutes ago, but the mail was delived at 11:38am. I usually get the notification around 8am.

No, delivery has become somewhat erratic in our rural New England town.

Lately we won't get mail for 2 or 3 days, then suddenly get a bunch.

Last week I had a package sitting at my local post office that should've been delivered on the 28th. On the 29th, it said "out for delivery".

Never made it the 5 miles to my house. Checked the status and it was delayed "due to severe weather or emergency situation". Neither was the case. Finally got that and another package, along with our regular mail on the 30th.

Status had been changed to "operational exception ". I took that to mean either they didn't have a driver, the van broke down or they ran out of time.

"Signed, Sealed & Delivered " it isn't anymore.

(The guy who's doing our flooring and lives in a nearby town is having the same issues. Recently no mail for days; checked his mailbox late Saturday night - no mail. Out, of curiosity, checked during the day Sunday - there was a stack of mail.)
