Amazon Gift Card Reload Bonus?

I don't shop The A much, maybe 3-4 times per year.

I had an Amazon gift card and finally used it up. Now I'm getting an offer of an $8 bonus if I reload my gift card. One time offer on a $100 first reload, so they say.

Question is, if I ignore the $8, does the offer get better?

Any experience? TIA!!

It's not a bidding war....lol. They aren't going to offer you more to reload.

The reload offer popped up when I logged into Amazon so directly from them.

I was clicking around to look at Rub & Buff that @Oznell recommended.

I always ignore retailers offers! They usually get sweeter with time!

So funny to see this because this just happened to me yesterday. It's not a scam. I needed to buy a new tablet and I had a couple small Amazon gift cards and a large Visa gift card that I wanted to use. The way they would accept the Visa gift card was if it was loaded onto an Amazon card. So today I have an $8 Amazon card on my account.

I did this once and got the credit. Occasionally this offer will pop up but I am leary if you still qualify for it since I have done it a couple of years ago and it says for the "first" reload.

I had to bump my own thread with an update.

Amazon increased their bonus reload offer from $8 to $12 on their gift card. 😁

It is a one time offer, only good on your first reload of $100+. 12% bonus during sky high inflation, I'll take it!

I was on my account page under the link to gift cards.

This gift card was a bonus for opening their Chase cc. I used the card down to a zero balance so this is my first reload.

If this is a first reload to your card, why not ask their CS?

I went to "reload", clicked on $100 and the offer appeared with their terms before I actually checked out.

it would not be a first reload, BUT i could add another amazon gift card to my account and use it and then reload it. my guess is is that if it was available on my account it would tell me when i go to the website, via an email, or if i clicked on the $100 to reload?

There was no email offer or code.

But the terms were valid on first reload with a min $100. I added the min and the bonus was added about 5 minutes later.

Oh, thank you for that!

I got the offer originally as $8. I let that slip by and then they bumped it to $12.
