Oh this is so sad. He was really loved by our family on Leave it to Beaver. Seemed to be a really nice guy. Only two months after cancer diagnosis.

It is so sad to hear. Was a favorite show growing up and still watch to this day on METV. RIP.

I'm so sorry to hear this. He was always my favorite on LITB and from what I've read, was a really nice person!

I had read that he was battling cancer on his Facebook page. So sad to hear the news. I watched LITB as a child and still watch every morning on ME TV. Another one from my youth gone.

He was also an accompished sculptor.

Such sad news, a piece of my youth gone. I watched Leave It To Beaver when younger and watch it now on MeTV. While a simple sitcom it still entertains. Tony Dow was such a part of TV back then and a handsome young man! I am sorry he has passed, may he be at peace with God.

They announced this morning it was liver cancer,

Awwww, another one bites the dust. I was never much of a Leave It to Beaver fan, but that show was a part of my childhood. Sad.

Many sites reporting that he is currently in hospice care, but is still alive.

So sad he has passed..he only lived about 8 weeks after his diagnosis. He was a handsome young man on LITB and was my favorite character.

My question is, why this woman is not by his side in his last hours.
