Yikes. I'm not a meat lover and for that price I could buy a few pair of shoes. Just looking at it on air with all that blood juice and fat chunk makes me gag.

@rms1954 I'm not sure if I'd b interested in that or not. I do like that the Q offers all sorts of different foods & price points which I especially am tempted to buy for the different holidays. & I like that any food item is guaranteed so if there's an issue one doesn't have to return it, just let them know & they'll credit your account no question asked.

@colleena Maybe that's a reason for these ungodly prices. I know. I have seen the

posts saying that if people want to spend their money on things that are outrageously expensive to others then they have a right to do so. I agree absolutely.

I am a beef lover and could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as between meal snacks. But $30 a pound is definitely what the 1 percenters are buying for dinner.

@781Florist I missed where they mentioned how many people it would feed so I guess figuring it out that way would make some sense but like you said it is spendy. My mouth is still watering but maybe not at this time, lol.

I quit meat/fish/fowl in 1975, and! I DVR only shows in which I am interested. This network presents very few electronic or fitness shows, so I seldom watch any of their programing.

My wife watching cooking shows and when cut some of these cooked(?)meats! Looks just like what you described in your post

The years I did eat meat when eating out, I always ordered it the same way, and burnt. If I saw red, back it went.

While the price seems expensive, I guess they have to charge a pretty penny to make up for the loss of the returns. For those that can afford this and enjoy it, go for it. For me, it is too pricey. Technically I could afford it, but this is one of those things where just because I can doesn't mean I should. 🍖

I can't imagine spending that kind of money on something to eat. I would also never spend a lot of money on bottles of wine, etc either. You eat or drink it and it's gone. 1 meal kind of gone. Not for me.

I spend too much money on other things that people wouldn't and every one of us is free to spend what we want on whatever we want.

But for a consumable product? No thanks. I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich.

If I still ate red meat more than 2 or 3 ounces every six months maybe, and if I still hosted meat eaters in my own home, I might buy a roast like that. Now I can't think of anyone I know who eats red meat in any quantity that would entice me to use my limited freezer to buy even 2 good-sized steaks.

We are beef eaters (won't eat fish) and we would prefer a nice filet or Delmonico steak medium to medium well. For that amount of money there is to much fat and I would rather pay a nice restaurant than have to try and cook it myself. Not really a prime rib person, just to fatty and usually to rare unless you can get an end cut if your lucky.

I don't eat red meat except for an occasional hamburger. I've actually never eaten prime rib. It always seemed like cave man food when I dined with people who ordered it. Bloody and nearly raw. Are there places in this country that don't have butcher shops where people can get prime rib and specialty cuts of meat? Perhaps those are the people who would pay such a high price.
