It really hasn't been bad, except for some delays between "stages" which can't be helped really. The demo and reframing, drywal repair, etc. was done in just a few days. Now we're waiting for the tile people to finish another job, so it's been a week or so. But we do have another bathroom to use, so it's not too inconvenient.

The workers have been very considerate, covered the floors they walk on with heavy paper held down by painter's tape so as not to damage the wood. They cleaned up after themselves as much as possible. They also got here on time every day but one! We do have a really good contractor running the job, though. He specializes in residential remodels like ours.

One warning---it's awfully expensive! But both our bathrooms were at a point where it has to be done.

This company works like Rebath. (We dealt with Rebath in 2007, but went directly to their local store first to look everything over. The contractors doing the work were local people with proper licensing. I did in fact refer several people to them.)

Your call is directed to the store/contractor closest to you. Their salesman comes out with samples of what they carry, you make your choices, they take measurements, you give a deposit and they order all materials. Once materials come in, they get you on their schedule for the actual work. For stall showers, you're choosing wall panels, a vinyl pan, shower doors, hardware, etc., same as going to Lowes and choosing materials, but you're also paying labor to get the job done.

If you want a more custom bathroom update with a tile shower stall, don't bother with this company, find a local contractor who does tile work and can show pictures and provide names of local people he has worked for.

Jacuzzi Bath Remodel has bought A LOT of advertising time on local TV stations. I have seen the commercials over and over again.

What I don't understand is that they take out the tub and put in a walk in shower. There is a seat put on the far wall of the newly installed shower. The water from the shower head does not reach the seat. So you have to hold the shower head in your hand? How would you take a shower holding the shower head? You are trying to lather up as you hold the shower head? You are trying to shampoo your hair holding the shower head if you are sitting on the seat?

I doubt that the seat would ever be used.

My husband belongs to a group that owns a cabin. They had a similar shower form installed in the cabin. You have to be careful what cleaner you use. So you don't ruin the finish. It is nice that it is three big sides. Don't have to worry about the grout. And it seems to be easy to clean.

Looks like Jacuzzi has standard styles. All the items are the same standard size. So it just fits together. That is why it takes a day or they claim it takes a day.
