What is the Endgame ?

No snark, I'm just honestly curious, what do you want QV.C to do with the hosts you don't like ? Fire them, because they annoy you ? I can't abide Shawn, Carolyn or Kirsten and save your breath because I don't care if you adore them. However, my solution is I don't watch them, I assume they make Money for the company and that is why they are still there. I mean do you want them to kick Janie out after 35 years ? Someone is watching and buying , I'm not watching , but I'm buying. So again I ask what do you want QVC to do , just program for you ? I'm going to be sorry I posted this I'm sure, but that's ok, I can take it.

Agree totally - when I saw a host jumping with excitement slapping her legs I just changed the channel - problem solved !

I guess they just want to share how they feel. Some hosts are really disliked and people get very angry.

@rms1954 , I remember how angry I used to get at one of the hosts I mentioned in my post. I finally realized my anger was futile and I just tuned out. I realize how frustrating it can be, but they are sales people doing their job, and while I have no inside knowledge I suspect they are encouraged by management if their behavior results in increased sales. In the end we only vote with our pocketbook , and most of us here seem to like shopping here. 🤷‍♀️

There are too many complaints about hosts IMO and many of them sound like they are from nit picky complainers and I also think many of the complaints are from those who buy very little or nothing anyway. The hosts who receive a lot of complaints also have their good points. No one is all good or all bad so either look over what you may not like about certain hosts if you are interested in the product or just don't watch them, but quit all the complaining. It gets old and serves no purpose. Complainers (not just here so I'm not picking on anyone) are more annoying than any host could be.

I only watch programs that I am interested in the products and I don't care who is hosting I agree with the OP's title - " What is the endgame".

@KathyM23 @I wasn't suggesting that people be censored, but I just wondered if they really expected that the complaining would get results.

Like most adults I make many decisions every day from what I am going to wear, eat, TV shows to watch, if I am going shopping etc. If I choose to check out QVC and see a host I don't care for I move on, no issue but I don't come on here and complain about them. I do not want anyone fired, that's ridiculous IMO. There is a local weather man that I can't stand so I just watch someone else. Should I write a letter of complaint to the station just because I don't care for him? Of course not.

My endgame? Live and let live, make your choices and just move on. No need to bash anyone, be snarky or rude. It must be exhausting to be so negative most of the time.

You are correct.

For every host someone doesn't like, there are others who do. High sales is the main reason that host is still working at QVC.

Time for you to start doing what I have done since I got my 1st VHS/VCR in the early 1970's. Back then you could only record, at most, 4 hours if you could find those blank tapes.

Now! I have a DVR that holds 2tb of programming, along with an external hard drive that holds another 1tb. That said, the only shows I watch, are the ones I pick to record.

Not only see what I choose, but also can watch a 1 hour show in 43 minutes, sans commercials. If you don't have a DVR or Tivo? Might consider one for Peace of mind, if nothing else.

I have commented on many topics in the 20+ years I have been on these forums, but not 1 time has it been about the QVC hosts or their choice of programming. It's grrreat watching only shows I choose!

I know it's true, but I still find it hard to believe that some people tune in to QVC ... not for the products being presented ... but for the host giving the presentation.

Personally, I don't give a d-x@% who the hosts on any given show are ... just that they speak distinctly, explain the product well .... and if it's a handbag, that they take the time to show the INSIDE of the bag.

i'm not tuning into the Amy show, or the Shawn show, or anybody else's show ........ just do an excellent job describing what's being presented.

That's all I need.

There are a few hosts that I don't care for. I simply don't watch when they are on. I have no desire for QVC to fire those I don't like.

Been a QVC customer for decades - way back to the early 90's. Have to admit I used to watch hours of the show on the weekends because the hosts were entertaining (Think: Kathy Levine with Joan Rivers). Yes, they were still selling, but it wasn't the hard sell like today. I rarely watch anymore not because I don't like the hosts (although some I don't care for), but I HATE the sales approach and the ad nauseum repeat of the same products all the time (ex. TSV). How could I watch three hours of a silver show with Jill Bauer years ago and today I can't watch five minutes of anyone presenting silver baubles. There used to be a great variety with vendors as well and now it's the same people all the time. Yes, QVC is a company and its bottom line is sales, so I guess they resort to selling the same things over and over if those items always do well. I mean how many times can I hear about Squirrel Brand Nuts or Mama Mancini's Meatballs (which by the way are a whole lot cheaper at my local grocery store). It's just way too repetitious and boring for me.

I totally agree.

The problem is that is not what many of the hosts are doing. And that's what a lot of us have been complaining about.

I dont think anyone here, at least not me anyway, wants to see anyone fired....Just like ANY job there's an evaluation process on how one can improve their job performance....and Id like to see a Manager or Show Producer go over some of the viewer comments and give the hosts some tips....thats all I ask....they can at least try some of the suggestions! And QVC may be surprised to also see that sales have increased as well.....And QVC's current financial reports do reflect revenue and sales are down!
