Confusing message abt Halo Bolt

caught a few minutes of a show where a Host was showcasing the Halo Bolt with air compressor. The Host began talking abt the times when emergent needs arise to power oxygen devices, CPAP machines, electric stair chairs. To me this can confuse people on the capability and limitation of these devices in powering small appliances .

The Halo Bolt manufacturer video only shows the device powering a l few items such as a small fan or items such as phones . If you read the literature , you will find this.

It will not power an electric coffee maker . So, why the misleading inference that this Halo will provide needed power for items that are not listed by the manufacturer.

WOW that's a serious misrepesentation....someone may buy it thinking it can power critically needed medical equipment but when a power outage event occurs that's not a good time to find out it isn't designed to perform their needed task!.....QVC defintely needs a disclaimer for items it can and can't be used for.....

It was SK talking abt her Dad's oxygen equipment . I have relatives that might have been mislead by her statements and inference.

I own one of these Halo Bolt and it Does Not power my coffee machine .

It inflated a flat tire for me , jump started my SVU and only powers a lamp, phone , small fan . You have to check the manufacturers info or call Halo to ask or check voltage on what you plan to power

I don't know if they actually are giving false information, since I don't know the voltage of most items. Sometimes larger items will have a lower voltage need. But it would be more helpful to merely state what voltage it will power and perhaps give a few examples.

I was all set to buy one of the small generators they were selling a while back until I checked the items in my house I wanted to run in a power outage. It wouldn't have even powered my electric blanket, which was one of the main things I needed. Nor my coffee maker, as you state.

Excellent point, @skatting44 . We have a Halo Bolt and it works exceptionally well for charging a car battery, cell phone,etc....just as their ads indicate. They will not, however, power an oxygen device. My DH is on oxygen and the voltage required for his portable oxygen machines is much greater than what the Halo Bolt can handle. I no longer watch the Q live shows, but it would be absolutely wrong for a host to even mention those medical devices when selling the Halo Bolt.

@jannabelle1 I agree with you on the bolt.

I wonder if she mixed up the bolt w/that power station by Halo that they featured a couple months ago.
