Question for ebay sellers

Several of the items I have for sale on ebay have 'Watchers'.

Ebay is suggesting me to send offers to these people.

So I sent an offer to someone with a reduced price and I believe it said that my offer would be good to that person for 48 hrs.

Is there any way for me to 'track' who I've sent offers to? I looked in my messages to see if my offer was sent to them, I've looked in the 'offers' category, but I guess that's only for offers I've put in for items I wanted to buy and not the offers I've sent to my buyer. Don't know if I'm making sense....

Also, if I have 7 'watchers' and put out an offer for the item they are watching, I'm assuming the 7 people will get the offer at the same time. Do I honor the first person to respond?

I haven't reached out to anyone on ebay in the forums or whatever they are because the one time I did, the answer I got was so misleading I swore I wouldn't go back there again.

On your selling dashboard, there is a line that shows you if you have items eligible to send offers to watchers. It only shows you a portion of the watcher 's username on Ebay. So, to answer your question, no, there is no way to track who you are sending the offers to. It does go out to all watchers on that item. The one that accepts the offer automatically knocks everyone else out of the deal.

I don't want to know anything about the buyers, I just want to know that I did infact send them an offer. I also wrote a little note in a paragraph box. So I figured that would show up as a sent message somewhere.

I'm getting ready to put out offers to all those that ebay suggests, but I guess I want to keep track of what items I have put offers out to or on. Does that make sense?

I don't want to know (nic) names or anything thing, just that I did indeed send an offer out on a specific item.

I'm probably not making any sense!

I just started on Ebay, and its more complex than Posh,

however to answer yr question I sent an offer on a listing to 2 , and one bought it 5 minutes, I have my setting for immediate payment.

I would take the first payment ,

Hi! I've sold on eBay since 2003 and have never "offered" a special price to anyone although eay has suggested I do so. I'd rather lower my price and see if I get interest that way People usualy keep an eye on the auction they like and sometimes you will have two people bid against each other which is fun. I actually prefer Fixed Price rather than auctions, but do them once in awhile.

Next time, if you do this, simply write down the eBay names you've sent your offers to and keep them on your desk and you'll know if the buyer corresponds with you. Also recognise that Watchers don't always watch because they're interested in buying.

I'm not sure what the eBay communities are like anymore but when I first started I got a massive amount of info from several of the boards from people who really wanted to help.

Regarding the offers you made. I'm not sure what the time frame would be but 48 hrs seems reasonable to me. Of the 7 offers made, you may/may not have an offer much less 7 on your item. I believe you can choose whomever you want to sell to. Researching your buyer to find out what kind of a buyer they are is always a good idea as you do not HAVE to sell to them. You can also decide to cancel the auctions and put them up at a later time and choose a different mode of selling. And always remember that a final successful sale is the ultimate finish. I have met many wonderful eBayers during my time but I have also met some real stinkers and eBay is more than willing to work with an honest, succesful seller. I have been personally helped many times and am grateful to the eBaty staff.

There is a wonderful source on eBay called the "Site Map". It can be reached by going to the bottom of the page and finding "Site Map" and clicking on it. The "buyer's" map comes up first but you can go to the top of the page and click on "Seller "and you'll have a wealth of information.

@Q4u Thanks for your reply. These aren't auctions, they are the fixed price items (I'd guess you'd call it). I have several different items for sale with a set price.

One item doesn't have any 'watchers'. The other items do.

So for all the items that do have watchers, ebay has that blue bubble line that says something like 'send them an offer'.

On one item I did and with the reduced price I offered I also put in a note in the 'comment' box. But there's no way for me to see that now. Nothing gets put in 'sent' messages and also nothing comes to my email address either as when it does when buyers contact me or if someone has a question.

I am having a hard time trying to explain what I'm trying to explain.

Never an EBay seller but a frequent buyer (989 in 22 years). I frequently put items on watch that I may or may not make an offer. Frequently I get an offer from sellers and sometimes I buy, sometimes make a counter offer and frequently ignore. I recently bought a beautiful N.A. pendant that started at $525 and I paid $380.

@TheMemphisVette This is exactly what I need! But! I can't bring that page up for some reason....OR....it's not an option for me. As though I never sent someone the offer.

There is no option for a Listings page. I do have an Active page.

@TheMemphisVette I do not see quick filters. I do see on my active page the options to select for unanswered messages, auctions, buy it now, etc..But not quick filters

I am finding eBay to be very labyrinthian, so far I have 4 or 5 pages bookmarked for my account.

Unfortunately now when I pull up ebay, it's the seller's hub format only which is Greek to me at this point and I wish I had my more comfortable old page I was used to seeing. This hub page doesn't fit on my screen to be able to see the amount of watchers.

This (new) page alone makes me want to back out of ebay...lol!
