I Got A Picture From Annabelle Today. 4/21/2022

Today, I got one picture, no post.

Annabelle is in pain, she still has on the neck brace.

I hope they are putting railings everywhere. I can't imagine a front porch high enough to fall off without a railing. Little ones are there on holidays.

I am sorry to hear that Annabelle is having pain and hopefully that will subside with time. Yes, railings are a must on porches, staircases. I can't imagine not having them to hold on to . Bet wishes to Annabelle!

She fell off of the porch. She didn't say "through railings or off of steps".

I have never been to visit, although, we are FB friends.

You implied @ECBG that there were no railings when you said "I hope they put railings everywhere." I inferred there were no railings from your post when Annabelle fell.

My DH put up hand rails for one of our very elderly long time neighbors from his steps leading from the sidewalk, along the sidewalk and up the steps to the front porch and then to the front door. We would watch him nervously as he made his way to his front door without the handrails being there..

Unfortunately a couple years later, he fell in his house and was unable to get up. He laid there at least 2 days. he couldn't remember how many for sure. One of our neighbors noticed his truck hadn't left for couple days and he always went out for lunch and that his door hadnt been opened and asked us if we had seen him. As we had not we did call the police for a welfare check. Thank goodness she had noticed. He was hospitalized for a week and transferred to rehab. After a few weeks he did die in the rehab center. Watch out for your neighbors. If you have some without rails, encourage them to put them up.

I hope she gets better and better each day. Are her daughters there to help I wonder?

It only takes an inch or two if you fall right. She already had back or leg pain.

I love the look of a wrought iron railing, as well as the safety it offers during snow/ice season.

Sadly, where I live many new-build homes don't have railings. ☹️

@ECBG Thanks for the update. I would assume she's in quite a lot of pain. I wonder if her Denver daughter has arrived? I bet they send Linda to a rehab facility when she's released from the hospital.

It only takes an inch or two if you fall right. She already had back or leg pain.

i found out recently all it takes is a trip on an edge causing you to throw you off balance.

Regardless of how she fell, I pray she is soon free of pain and is able to get around well. A bad fall can be very upsetting as well as dangerous.
