Left on my voicemail. Accent was bad so I couldn't understand many words. Basically the caller said: This is the ?? department's ?? program. We have received your ?? tax return and you owe an additional $5000. The

?? program grants a ??discount if you arrange payment today...

Now that is bad. Looks like any respectable scammer could at least polish up their act. LOL I hope folks don't fall for that one.

Yes, scams/crimes are rampant. This weekend was brutal. Be safe and aware everyone.

@PickyPicky3 Good that you received this pathetic attempt for $$$ on voicemail rather that picking up the phone.

I received so many of those calls in the last couple of years. Some man always sounding so angry and with a heavy accent.

Speaking of scams:

let's not forget the calls from Amy of medical services,

the warranty car service calls from many different parts of the USA,

the electric service change because of excellent payment history,

etc. And now, coming to my cell phone and unable to block: No Caller ID calls.

Sometimes technology isn't that great !

@jlkz This tax call was a no-caller ID call. I don't understand why these calls don't show up in the calls log. I find out about them when I go into voicemail to retrieve a legitimate message and there's a message I knew nothing about.

Do they show up anywhere on your phone?

they appear on recent calls missed....I can't block them because there is no # with hall zeroes. I did try to create a contact with No Caller ID name and th3 zero #'s...seems to work 90% of the time 2hen block caller is clicked on
