I'm in Colorado and when I looked out my window yesterday my humidity gauge was reading 2%. It has been like that for several days now and will continue on for the rest of the week with high winds blowing constantly. Already have had several grass fires around, some with evacuations. Weather people are begging people to be extra careful with anything that could spark a fire.

Our part of West Texas has been issued a Wildfire Outbreak forecast for Tuesday. The conditions are ripe for producing wildfires. We will have high winds, low humidity, and high temperatures. I don't recall the last time we had this type of warning and a Wildfire Outbreak forecast. Strong winds are a part of our everyday life, but this seems like some sort of perfect storm for destruction.

This drought is worsening each and every day. It seems all we have left in our weather is extremes.

This whole winter we've had unusually heavy winds.

fires are the new normal, I'm afraid--here in WA state, we have had fires in the eastern parts for the last few years too. this past week or 2 ,snow has dumped on our mountains , the Cascades , almost 10 feet or more from a few weather systems---and we needed it too. will help somewhat I hope----

People don't think and are so careless I could smack 'em. Here in amarillo, Tx we had some idiot people that were grilling hamburgers and grease fire hit the ground and poof off it went.
