I would never wear those, I'm claustrophobic and they're flat out ugly, IMO.

Much less would I pay $1K for them.

@RollTide2008 I doubt any frequent flyer would wear those most FFs realize that thanks to HEPA filters and efficient circulation on commercial aircrafts, the air you breathe in flight is much cleaner than the air in restaurants, bars, stores, or your best friend's living room and that's a fact easily googled.

The air filtration and recycling on a jet is fast and effective due to the use of powerful air circulation fans and high-efficiency particulate absorbing (HEPA) filters. The HEPA filters are 99.9% effective or greater in removing particulate contaminants, including viruses like COVID-19, and bacteria and fungi from recirculated air. The air flows from the ceiling to the floor and creates completely new air in the cabin every six minutes. If you got sick traveling you most likely got it from the airport, hotel or places you visited. Studies have revealed the chances of becoming infected with COVID-19 while flying on a modern, commercial airline is about the same as being struck by lightning.

Frequent flyers may agree, with you, but none of my physicians do. To be effective, the laden air must hit the HEPA filters before it comes to you.

Several MDs have told me, as close as people are packed in for such an extended time, it is like being dropped into a petri dish.

I’ll go with their advice.
