This was mailed to someone in Sunrise, Florida. Other residents are also getting them. Thank goodness for all the mistakes on these tickets. February does not have 30 days in it and Infiniti does not spell its name as Infinity. Multiple people received the same letters. Recipients have notified local police.

That scam won't work here, you get a picture of your license plate and vehicle, from a camera showing your violation and notifying you of your fine.

That's a new one-so awful-I hope they catch them and put them in jail for a very long time! Why don't they get a job that is legal! It really hurts people.

Do you know if those are actual pics of somebody's vehicle, showing their actual licence plate number? That makes it even more scary, if so.

The February 30, 2022 bit is pretty funny.

But what's not funny is that you just know there will be some people who will give up their cc# and whatever else, thinking it's real.

Seems like the bad guys continue to be two steps ahead of the good guys. I'm so sick of it.

Hey Darlin! Was thinking about you.

I have heard of that, although I haven't experienced it. The only tickets I've gotten had a cop car stopping me.

This particular situation, however, seems to be some sort of pfishing attempt and not an actual ticket. What is concerning is how that thief got a pic of somebody's vehicle, assuming it actually did show the license plate# of the person, er victim, to whom the letter was sent.

"Police departments in several South Florida cities including Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Lauderhill and Margate have warned about this new scam and are asking victims to file a report.

I got a ticket fifteen years when I was slightly over the limit and a speed trap camera got me. It had my car,, my license and my picture. It was close to $300 and it was a famous speed trap.

@KingstonsMom I've never gotten a ticket here in Georgia but I know cameras are mounted all over. But if it's a parking ticket do you know if they also take a picture or if the Police stop you for speeding?

In Savannah, they don't have parking violation cameras, only moving violations.

DH just had one recently for speeding 5 miles over the limit in a certain area and many years ago, I had one for running a yellow light when a huge truck was blocking me in the middle of an intersection.....sigh.

Just called my brother and my nephew in Sunrise and Lauderhill and told them about this. They saw it on the news so they know what it's about.

What will they think of next?
