We Got Mail on Sunday Today--USPS Mail!

We got 2 letters, a catalog and a package. On Sunday. That's crazy. We have never had a mail delivery of letters on Sunday before.

The second verse of that is what if we were away, if I hadn't looked at the Informed Delivery to see what came last week we would have let it sit out there all night. And some of it is something we would not want stolen.

It makes me mad that they do this.

I live in the north outside a small town & they've been delivering mail on Sundays for years...Amazon pkgs, Priority Mail & more, it's just another work day for carriers & I appreciate the USPS effort to get mail delivered on time so no complaints, from me.

We often get packages on Sundays but I can't remember getting other mail although if we did, it would be okay because our box is locked.

I've NEVER gotten mail on a Sunday. I WAS supposed to receive a package yesterday, carrier claimed they couldn't deliver it because they didn't have access, I don't live in a gated community. My daughter received several packages yesterday delivered via other shippers, they had no trouble getting access.

We get mail on Sunday every once in a while too - sometimes just a package or two. I think they're just trying to keep up, maybe catch up on deliveries due to bad weather in areas, slow package/mail deliveries from point A to point B,C, D.

@Kachina624 We haven't either--and the fact that something was important was why I was angry about it. First class mail should be delivered when expected and planned for. I hope it was just a random thing.

I hope we don't have to watch the mailbox 24/7!

@Sooner I always check order status on my QVC and Amazon orders late Sunday afternoons in case they've sneaked something into my mailbox. It has happened on several occasions.

we never get mail mail on sundays, but we do sometimes get package mail on sundays. i have informed delivery, so if a package is supposed to show up it will usually tell me. sometimes our mailman will drop it at the front door if it doesnt fit into the box.

no locking mailboxes in our neighborhoods.....how would the mailman be able to even keep all of the keys straight if that were a thing? all of our mailboxes are at the ends of our driveways.

@sgraham30 We got that too! Said nobody was here to sign for and we were here all day. They finally delivered four days later only because I went on line and filled out paperwork.
