Watching Tom Jones sing on that show he was a judge in. The Voice

He truly has still has a great voice, and I love to hear him sing. Wish I could have gone to see him perform when we both were younger. He's still great.

Do you have someone who still hits the musical songs for you?

Sat on shag carpet glued to the television as a way "too young girl" staring at his hips and hairy chest every week. He was such a dream boat. I loved David Cassidy but Tom Jones made me stop breathing when he sang and moved.

@vermint - I agree. I saw him a few times in Las Vegas in the 1980's and he was great! One time we had front row seats - up close and personal - oh my!!

I remember watching his show when I was a teenager in the 1960's and I'm still a fan since then.

My MIL thought he was the sexiest male performer on the planet. She went to several of his concerts and raved about him all of the time. Every time his name came up in a conversation her face would change!...lol! I think she was in love with the guy.

I watch a lot of The Voice UK coaches singing together on youTube - usually the ones with Sir Tom Jones. I'm totally amazed at some of the productions.

He has a totally spontaneous one with Peter Donegan, the son of Lonnie Donegan, who wrote one of Tom's more famous songs. Peter Donegan was a contestant.

We saw him at the Greek Theater in LA in 2018. Great show and I wasn't really into that genre growing up.

But I'd go see him, if he ever comes to the States again.....has only toured Europe since the pandemic (re-openings).

To answer the question, Rod Stewart doesn't sound too bad for an old bugger!

I got his latest CD Tears of Hercules and he still sounds good.

When I was a toddler in the 1960s, my father used to go out with the guys every Friday night. As he was preparing to go out, my mother was taking her younger sister to dance class. So my father would put me in front of the TV to watch Tom Jones while he got ready. I was memorized. He was the best babysitter.
