I am going through last year's February e-mails and I am going to file them, print them, or delete them!

@tansy Me too! I will say it is helping. Helping me have fewer things to go through and to buy less as well!

I just take care of them as they come in . Easier , don't have to read them twice .

It's amazing how fast they can accumulate. I did this at the end of last year and should probably get into the habit of doing it once a month, especially my Spam folder.

I do all that everyday, sometimes a few times a day---the ex has/had THOUSANDS of email/ junk on his phone from years ago. he never does anything about them--prob doesn't have a clue how to deal with them--he is a caveman regarding anything tech----idiot!!!!

If it's junk email and you have gotten several from the same sender (example QVC emails), you can right click on the email, click on "see all from this sender".
Once the list of all those emails come up, hit "ctrl a", which will highlight them all, then click "delete".
That way you can get rid of whole groups of emails at a time without picking through them individually.

@judianne the problem is that so many have to be kept to be resolved or used. At least with us. But I'm finding a year later MOST can go!

@hckynutjohn Being what they used to call "Type A" and now having a touch of what is called "OCD" I am usually in search of a mission! And I like organization.

Also I am constantly in search of ways to make life better and moving forward. I want to be better than I was I guess. It's what keeps me going. I've never been lazy.

I laugh and say that my worst fear is life is to "be who I am" 'cause I feel like I can do better! It's a hobby that doesn't mess up the house, cost anything, and makes me feel better! I and I like processes like this that make life easier.

FYI in gmail or Outlook, you can create subfolders. Make as many as you need and title them appropriately for the categories you have to save. When an email lands in your inbox, deal with it immediately if you can and move it to trash. If not, move it to the appropriate folder. And, empty the spam and trash folders daily. Review all folders monthly and delete anything no longer needed.

I "decision" all my emails every day just like I do my regular mail. They are read, kept until resolved and then deleted or deleted immediately. I currently have 5 emails in my inbox. My junk/spam folder is pulled up every day, skimmed and deleted.

I can't stand clutter and that includes emails. I don't see the point in holding on to emails that are of no use or interest to me.
