PRINCESS ANNE'S HUSBAND TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID

Timothy Laurence has tested positive for COVID meaning he and Princess Anne will probably not see the Queen over the Christmas holidays. The Queen's plans are still in flux due to the outbreak of the Omicron variant in the U.K. At first plans with her family and a luncheon were called off but the family does not want her to be alone during her first Xmas without Phillip, so plans are still being discussed.

@godi I don't think that's yet the final word. Or at least "festivities" may not include family visits.

I know people who are going on cruises on Christmas day, having large gatherings, traveling. I wouldn't be surprised to see lockdowns or other measures in a couple of weeks.

It amazes me what people choose to do.

They must be the only family in the world who will not be able to gather together over the Christmas holiday.

Do you not realize that families will be watching loved ones pass away with Covid all over the world over the holidays? I guess you feel that Timothy Laurence matters more that our loved ones.

We went to Key West a year ago at the height of Covid and my daughter and I leave for a cruise on Jan 8. I don't get your point. We practice the required protocols and are vaccinated and boosted.

@MG Chris We leave Jan 8th on the Princess Emerald for a 10 day Panama Canal. We can't live in fear and we take all the protocols as required. We also did Disney in 2020 in Sept. Nothing happened. We had a blast.

Although we all know people who are sick and dying of this disease, it doesn't really negate that famous people are at risk too.
I'm sure the post was for the royal watchers in the group. I'm going to assume the intent was informational and not confrontational.

Goes to show that a viral disease doesn't care who you are. It just wants to replicate however it can. Please do your best to stay safe and limit your exposure, everyone. I really do not want to log in here and see a request for prayers because you or your loved one is extremely ill with Covid. None of us want to see each other suffer, I think we all agree.
