Just purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator.

Seems to be working well, with one exception.

The ice cream in the freezer will not get hard.

The temperatures are reading well and everything else in the freezer is frozen solid.

HELP

Could you try turning the temperature down colder for the freezer just to see if it does get colder?

Get a thermometer that shows down to zero degrees faranheit or whatever it is in centigrade and put it in the freezer. They make these for refrigerators, and ovens, etc. Test the temperature in various spots in the freezer. If it is not freezing to 0 degrees faranheit, call the company and get someone out to look at it. And sometimes, it takes a few days for a new fridge to cool down to very very cold.

Contact your appliance vendor where the item was purchased. Over the years, we have been fortunate to have a local dealership with hard-working, honest owners who always want the customer to be satisfied. Unfortunately for us, they are soon to retire and leave the business. Hopefully you have honest vendors who will work with you to fix your issue. Whirlpool has a reputation as a good brand. They still manufacture in the USA.

I contacted the vendor's service dept, and they sent out the most stupid repair man.

He could not order the part on his phone, so we went to my ipad and he had me order it from Amazon. Well the wrong part came in not known to me until i trried to put the knob on like he told me to save another service charge for him to come out.

In pushing the knob in I also pushed in the stem of the knob.

Well he came out, threw his hands up in the air and said i broke the stem, by the way, i am 85 and did what he said to do. I'm not a repair man or woman. Well he said i would need a new dryer, mine is 6 years old, brought from them. The cost to repair would be 425. So I had to order part per his instructions, and install. They would not give me back the 85 dollars for a service call.

My son came over, unscrewed the back, pulled out the part they said was broken, it was not. He got it back it, took the guts out of the old knob, installed in the new knob and now my dryer timer works. Took him 20 min.

I called the service mgr. and told him how useless his repair man is and gave them a very bad review on Yelp. Said if he returns my service call amount of 85.00, i will take off the bad review. He did return it.
